Selena Gomez Dating: Looking For A Boyfriend Similar To Calvin Harris — Taylor Swift Approves!

Selena Gomez is ready to date again, having set her sights on a man just as ambitious as Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Calvin Harris.

While a source confirms that Selena is not running after Taylor’s longtime beau, she has more or less looked at the couple as relationship goals, mentioning that finding a man who treats her the way Calvin treats Taylor is exactly what she’s looking for in a guy.

Selena Gomez, who briefly dated music producer and DJ, Zedd, is now eyeing herself an executive, making it known that she is ready to settle down if she does find the right man, although, she’s sure that finding a man like Calvin Harris doesn’t come by too often.

Harris is a businessman in his own right, famously growing his music career — which started in the UK — into an empire that has staggered his net worth to a whopping $160 million. Calvin is also said to charge anywhere from $500,000 to $1 million for private DJ gigs, giving him the freedom to work whenever and wherever he wants. Surely enough, Selena Gomez seems impressed.

Fortunately enough, Taylor is reportedly helping her on the hunt for a new boyfriend, since Selena tends to think her pal has a rather great taste when it comes to men.

The source revealed, “[Selena] would love an older guy who could be in the entertainment industry but more of a decision maker and not an actor or singer, more the executive type,” insinuating that those who are directly working in the business tend to be too much hassle in the long run.

Gomez would know, having dated Justin Bieber for four years, before she would go on to learn that the “I’ll Show You” singer was alleged to have cheated on her with multiple women throughout their relationship, causing endless fights and arguments.

It evidently broke the trust she had for Justin, consequently leading her to pen her smash hit, “What The Heart Wants,” in which she openly admits to being in love with a man (Justin, in this case) who consistently hurts her emotionally, but she cannot detach herself from the relationship as her heart refuses her from leaving.

The twosome eventually decided to part ways, well aware that their romance wasn’t going to work any longer. This would give somewhat of an understanding as to why Selena Gomez is so hesitant on dating another man directly linked to the music industry as opposed to an executive who is established, focused on his career, and lives a relatively private life.

While the hunt may have already begun, Gomez plans on keeping herself busy until the right guy does end up finding his way to her heart, planning her forthcoming tour in support of her latest album, Revival. “She covers those emotions up though by always working, she now wants to be continuously busy whether it is with her tour or doing films,” the source added. “It gives her an excuse to not stress on meeting a guy.”

With all the success Selena Gomez has experienced in the past 12 months, she is content where she is in her music career and tends to wish that that her personal life was going just as great.

Nonetheless, fans are convinced that once the singer finishes her tour, she will have already found somebody new — a Justin Bieber reconciliation is definitely out of the picture. Selena Gomez is certainly not planning to move backwards, having come so far to leave the upsetting past behind.
