‘Sister Wives’ Is Fake, According To Family Member

There are always rumors that Sister Wives and other reality shows are fake, but now a family member is claiming that they faked things for the show and ratings. The show Sister Wives had done well, so if this is true, it obviously worked for them. Radar Online is now sharing what a family member of the Brown family from Sister Wives had to say about it. Christine’s aunt, Kristyn Decker, is now speaking out and sharing that one of the biggest storylines may have been all for drama. She thinks that they just faked it to get ratings for Sister Wives.

When the entire show Sister Wives started, the Brown family was living in Utah. All of a sudden, the Sister Wives family was having legal issues, because they lived as polygamists, and they had to pick up and move to Las Vegas. This was what most of Sister Wives has been about, and now Christine’s aunt is saying that this was all for drama on the show. The entire family had to leave a huge house, where they lived together, and live in rentals that were not close to each other for a while. Next, they had to build homes for the entire family. It was a big adjustment for the family of Sister Wives. It did work out in the end, but it made for a lot of drama and great storylines for the entire show.

Here is what Christine Brown’s aunt had to say about Sister Wives making this all up for drama.

“They talked about moving to Vegas [to escape Utah’s anti-polygamy laws] long before they did. That was their plan and they used the State coming after them for ratings. That’s my strong opinion.”

Christine’s aunt, Kristyn, used to live the polygamy lifestyle just like they do on Sister Wives. She actually left her husband and the Apostolic United Brethren polygamist sect of the Latter Day Saints that the Browns belong to. She has moved on from this lifestyle. Christine’s aunt spoke out about how it all worked when she left the lifestyle.

“My leaving definitely had to do with [my husband’s behavior], but it was all the harms I saw around me. I left polygamy before I left my husband. I really regret being on the show…. [After] I was devastated, I cried. Christine tried to make me out to be a mean person who didn’t believe in choice, either traditional or religious. You can’t actually have a choice if you live under polygamy. If you chose not to do it, there is a penalty.”

Just yesterday, Radar Online also shared that Kristyn stated that she doesn’t think Christine Brown is happy in the Sister Wives family and that it is time for her to move on. She said that Christine is miserable in the Sister Wives family. She went on to explain that there is a huge lack of connection between all of these women. She feels like the wives and children do not get the quality time that they deserve with their husband, and because of this, they are not very happy. She does feel like they are great people, but they were just misled.

Are you shocked to hear that some of Sister Wives may have been faked for the show? Do you think that the Brown family will speak out against these claims? Sound off in the comments below, and don’t miss Sister Wives when it returns to TLC.
