Kanye West Vows He’ll Only Join Kim Kardashian On Instagram ‘On One Condition’

Seeing as his wife, Kim Kardashian, is often dubbed the “Queen of Instagram,” it’s pretty surprising that Kanye West has yet to officially join the social media phenomenon.

However, it looks like that is all about to change, as West is revealing that he may be planning on joining Kim on the site to show off his personal snaps to the world, but on one very big condition.

Kanye West took to Twitter on March 14 to reveal the circumstances under which he’d consider joining the photo-sharing app, and it turns out he’ll only be giving fans a peek inside his private life if he has full an unlimited creative control of the pictures he posts.

In yet another epic Twitter rant aimed at his 20 million followers, Kanye told fans that he was “thinking” of joining Instagram but added that we’ll only see West posting snaps (and probably selfies) “on one condition.”

“No one can ask me or try to tell me what to Instagram… It’s my art,” Kanye elaborated of his conditions in the message before adding that his tweets “are a form of contemporary art only compromised by people trying to tell me what to tweet and not to tweet.”

Kanye West then noted that those trying to censor his often bizarre Twitter rants are like a “non-artist trying to grab the paint brush.”

Although Kanye didn’t clarify who those “people” trying to tell him what to and what not to tweet are, West’s latest tweets about social media editing come just weeks after People reported that wife Kim Kardashian has been left less than thrilled by West’s recent slew of social media outbursts.

“What causes friction in the marriage is Kanye’s compulsive tweeting,” an insider told People of how Kardashian feels about Kanye’s social media messages in February, which included West taking serious aim at Wiz Khalifa, claiming he’s millions of dollars in debt, and asking Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg for $1 billion.

“Kim can’t stand it. She is all for self-promotion, but doesn’t approve of Twitter drama,” the source said, noting that West’s January social media showdown with Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose was what really irked Kardashian about Kanye’s constant tweeting.

“She was very mad about Kanye’s Amber Rose drama,” the source continued to People, who revealed that “Kim is a mom and wants to be a role model. She doesn’t want to be involved in ridiculous drama.”

But if Kanye West ever does decide to join Instagram, he’ll have quite a long way to go to catch up with Kim.

Kardashian currently has more than 63 million followers on the photo-sharing site, making her the third-most-followed celebrity on Instagram after Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez.

West’s wife recently opened up about what she loves about sharing some of her most personal moments, including date nights with Kanye West, on Instagram, where she revealed to Entertainment Tonight that she views her social media pages like a public scrapbook.

“I love taking pictures and posting them on social media for memories,” Kim told the site last year. “I genuinely love the glam of life and hair and makeup and all of that, so I love just sharing my life with people – that’s who I’ve been.”

“I can look at a photo on social media and see a picture and know exactly where I was by the outfit I had on or who I was with,” Kardashian continued of her social media habit, adding that she views Instagram as a “fun, emotional scrapbook that I love to look back on.”
