Katie Maloney & Tom Schwartz Celebrate Engagement On ‘Vanderpump Rules,’ Wedding Plans Revealed

Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz are engaged.

Throughout the last couple of years, Katie Maloney has made her intentions for Schwartz very clear, but for years, Schwartz simply wasn’t ready to get married. According to the Vanderpump Rules star, he preferred to be in a place of financial security before he agreed to make a life-long commitment to his longtime girlfriend. Still, Katie Maloney was often frustrated by the issue until July 2015, when Schwartz proposed as cameras rolled for Season 4.

After meeting with jewelry designer Kyle Chan and creating the perfect ring for Katie Maloney, Schwartz got down on one knee during a dinner date with her co-stars, including Ariana Madix, Tom Sandoval, Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, Scheana Marie, and Mike Shay.

Now, many episodes later, Katie Maloney and Schwartz are preparing to celebrate their engagement during the March 14 episode of the show.

Last week, Katie Maloney was seen requesting the use of Lisa Vanderpump’s home for the bash, which will be limited to her close friends and family members.

Although a wedding date has not yet been announced, Katie Maloney’s friend and co-star, Ariana Madix, recently revealed the couple was looking at dates this fall.

“I know that they’re looking at dates, but I don’t think they have an official date. I think they wanted to do something maybe in the fall, but I don’t think they have anything set in stone,” Madix revealed during an interview with In Touch Weekly last month.

As for whether or not they would be included in Katie Maloney’s wedding party, Tom Sandoval added, “We don’t know, but I would hope so. I definitely want to help plan the best bachelor party ever. I want something adventurous, something really cool.”

While Katie Maloney and Schwartz have kept the majority of their wedding plans on the down-low, it appears safe to assume that at least two of her co-stars will serve as bridesmaids during the upcoming event. Last week, after Katie Maloney, Scheana Marie, Stassi Schroeder, and Kristen Doute traveled to New York City to appear on an episode of Watch What Happens Live, Katie Maloney visited Kleinfeld Bridal outlet, where she said “yes” to the dress, and at her side were her three co-stars.

Following their shopping trip, all three women, Scheana, Schroeder, and Doute, confirmed they were at the venue when Katie Maloney was selecting her gown but didn’t say whether or not they were selecting bridesmaids gowns of their own.

“Had the best time at @kleinfeldbridal today! Can’t wait for you guys to see why!” Scheana wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of herself at the boutique.

During her appearance on Watch What Happens Live last Monday, Katie Maloney spoke of her dream wedding gown.

“My wedding dress? My dream wedding dress is definitely lace, going like a vintage vibe,” Katie Maloney explained to host Andy Cohen, via Fashion & Style. “So it’s like nice lace sleeves, nothing poofy, just a nice silhouette. Kind of almost boho-ish, but not fully. Definitely something on a vintage vibe. I have the picture in my head of what I want.”
