Justin Bieber Debuts Unreleased New Song ‘Insecurities’ At Purpose Tour Show

Justin Bieber is currently powering through his Purpose World Tour. But, although his shows are packed with hits, the pop superstar treated fans to a rendition of an unreleased, newish song titled “Insecurities” at his concert in Portland, Oregon over the weekend.

On Sunday (March 13), the Canadian star unveiled the new jam during the acoustic section of his light and music concert show spectacular. This is when he plays the guitar on a vintage, velvet sofa and croons more introspective songs from his set.

Over 20,000 Justin Bieber fans at Portland’s Moda Center listened (and screamed), as the heartthrob sang lyrics such as “I want to fix all your insecurities” and “I’m aware of your secrets,” about an unnamed love interest.

The singer first shared news of the song during a February interview with GQ, but he also played it at a live music night at a bar in Los Angeles last year.

After unveiling the raw-sounding “Insecurities,” the Biebs segued into a performance of his acoustic duet “Home To Mama,” which was co-written with Australian surfer dude Cody Simpson and first heard in 2014.

The 22-year-old’s official current single is “Company,” so it seems unlikely there are plans for the singer’s new song to be released just yet, if at all.

Bieber’s Purpose World Tour kicked off last week in Seattle, Washington, to widespread great reviews from music critics and the general public. The immersive light and music spectacle features acrobatics, a huge trampoline over the audience at one point, an incredible tight new band, an influx of new dancers with the old crew, and the more mature Bieber, who seems to be in total control on stage and relishing his long-awaited arrival at the adult plateau of his career, as he sings, dances, and interacts with fans.

Following rave reactions in Seattle, Justin’s Purpose World Tour hopped to Vancouver, Canada, before Portland. The next tour stop is in Sacramento, California, on March 15. Supporting acts are Corey Harper, Moxie Raia, and Post Malone.

There’s tons of clips to see below from Portland, featuring songs such as “Company,” Where Are U Now,” “Hold Tight,” and more.

In other Justin Bieber news, the superstar received a tweeted endorsement from none other than Kanye West, who took to Twitter on Sunday to declare his favorite song of 2015 was Bieber’s mega-hit “What Do You Mean?”

The rapper, who was an executive producer on Bieber’s Purpose album at one point, can also be seen grooving to the dance jam tropical-dance track in a Snapchat video shared by wife, Kim Kardashian.

“What Do You Mean?” is the lead single from Purpose. It debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart during the week of September 8, after a month long celebrity-packed countdown. The song, which was co-written and co-produced by Bieber, Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd, and Mason “MdL” Levy, went on to achieve quadruple platinum in the U.S. and similar certifications around the world.

The 64-date trek for the North American leg will see the Biebs’ Purpose Tour hit Chicago, Kansas, Philadelphia, Canada, Miami, and Nashville, before wrapping at Madison Square Garden on July 19. The European leg will begin on September 14 in Berlin, Germany and finish in London, England, on November 29.
