Bai Yun, a 21-year-old panda at the San Diego Zoo, gave birth to her sixth cub today.

The baby panda, who hasn’t received a name yet, won’t make its public debut for a few months. Panda fans can, however, watch the new cub’s progress on the zoo’s Panda Cam.

The zoo writes:

“While Bai Yun and her one-day old cub are snuggled up in the birthing den at the San Diego Zoo’s Giant Panda Research Station, we are getting ready to share this incredible experience with the world. At 2 p.m PT today, the den cam will go live! It is exciting to think about how many people around the world will be watching Bai Yun’s every move in the den and every developmental milestone the cub experiences.”

According to the LA Times, Bai Yun’s 6 cubs are considered to be a world record for a panda in captivity. The San Diego Zoo only has four pandas at the moment (some of Bai Yun’s cubs were sent to China) but that’s more than any other zoo in the world. The San Diego Zoo currently has three giant pandas, Bai Yun, Gao Gao, and Yun Zi, as well as the new cub.

The San Diego Zoo will wait a few months until they give the new cub a name.

The National Zoo in Washington D.C. recently welcomed two Cheetah cubs. The zoo announced earlier this week that the two cheetahs would be named after Olympic sprinters.
