It seems as though the baby boom is in the air. Back in April Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. announced that they were expecting their second child together. Now the couple has announced that not only will they be adding to their family, but it’ll be a boy, which will make them parents to daughter, Charlotte, 3, and a son.

Prize Jr. and Gellar are said to be “thrilled that Charlotte will have a little brother,”said a source close to the acting couple. The source continued on about their happiness over the impending birth of their son, saying, “They love their little girl more than anything in the world and know that love will only multiply.”

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. met on the set of the 1997 thriller I Know What You Did Last Summer, and wed in 2002 in Mexico after 4 years of dating each other. The two  reunited on the big screen to appear alongside each other as Fred and Daphne in the live action Scooby Doo movie. Three years ago the couple welcomed daughter Charlotte.

Speaking of her daughter Charlotte and how she balances her acting career, Gellar has said it’s not easy, telling Rachel Ray at the time how she handled being a mother and working on her now canceled show The Ringer, “I progressively get more tired throughout the season. In my defense I have a two and a half-year old and setting my alarm is sometimes difficult for me.”

No word on Sarah Michelle Gellar’s next project, but we’re sure she’s focusing on motherhood as her number one priority.
