The Cleveland Cavaliers face the Los Angeles Clippers in a game that will stream live, as Cleveland attempts to stretch its lead on top of the Eastern Conference, and the Clippers attempt to solidify their hold on fourth place in the West. For Lebron James and the Cavaliers, the game will the the third of a four-game western swing that started with solid victories over the Kings in Sacramento and, on Thursday, a 12-point defeat of the Lakers, also at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Cleveland has been led so far on the western trip by point guard Kyrie Irving, who put up a total of 56 points in the first two games, while James added 49 over the two contests.
“I feel like this is a perfect time to find my rhythm, especially on this road trip,” the 23-year Irving — the first overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft out of Duke University — said on Saturday. “Over the last few games, I have tried to be aggressive and live off the confidence my teammates have in me.”
When the two teams faced each other in Cleveland back on January 21, the Cavaliers got the better of the matchup, coming away with a 115-102 decision, overcoming a 30-point effort by nine-time All Star Clippers point guard Chris Paul.

Tip-off is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time at Staples Center in Downtown Los Angeles, California, on Sunday, March 13 — 3:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
Sunday brunch-time games have often proven unfriendly to visiting teams in Los Angeles. Just one week ago, the Golden State Warriors who appear on their way to breaking the NBA record for most wins in a season, came into Los Angeles to face the last-place Lakers — and proceeded not only to lose, but to get crushed by 17 points.
Cleveland comes into the Clippers game as winners of five of their last six, after a dry spell when they dropped three of four in the final week of February. The Cavaliers 46-18 record puts them two games ahead of the Eastern Conference second-place Toronto Raptors and eight games ahead of the surging Boston Celtics in third place.
The Clippers continue to miss 26-year-old five-time All Star power forward Blake Griffin, who has yet to fully recover from a fractured right hand suffered in an altercation with one of the Clippers’ team equipment managers. Even when he recovers, Griffin must still serve a four-game suspension stemming from that ugly incident.
