Amber Rose Defends Kim Kardashian’s Nude Selfie, Says Kim Isn’t Her ‘Enemy’
Amber Rose tends to be very outspoken when it comes to things involving the Kardashians, but her latest move might shock you. The model decided to defend Kim Kardashian and the nude picture that she posted on Instagram last week. According to Daily Mail Online, Rose — who used to date Kim’s husband, Kanye West — was asked about the photo during a sit-down with Nightline.
“I thought she looked beautiful,” Rose said. “I’m a mom. I know how hard it is to, like, work out and try to get your body back but at the same time, embracing the fact that your body does change after you have a baby. After carrying a baby, I just think it’s really cool and I’ve seen that she’s been getting a lot of [flack] for it and I didn’t think it was fair,” she added.
Amber Rose may or may not have realized that the picture Kim posted was actually an older shot, taken long before the reality star was pregnant with her son, Saint West. However, it is believed that the photo — posted by Kim as a meme — was taken after Kim gave birth to her daughter, North West, which makes Amber Rose’s statement still very true.
Amber Rose actually started a movement (for lack of a better word) called SlutWalk in which women dress up in sexy outfits and parade the streets of the city. The point is to target the double standards and victim-blaming of sexual violence. It’s quite powerful and many believe the events open up a dialogue that needs to be heard.
“If any sexy guy posted a nude picture with a little black strip over his private areas, everybody would be like, ‘Damn, he is hot, he’s sexy, look at that body. Oh, he’s a dad too?’ It’s just a double standard,” Rose said of Kim’s nude selfie.
Amber Rose was on #TeamKim in this instance, along with a few other celebrities. However, the celebs that spoke out against Kim’s decision to post the picture (including Bette Midler, Chloe Grace Moretz, and Pink) made headlines for days. Kim Kardashian was slammed by plenty of people, but she stood her ground, and even fought back, sticking up for herself.

Amber Rose did a fine job sticking up for Kim as well, posting to social media following Pink’s comments.
“Damn Pink we were all born naked society sexualizes our breast and bodies,” Amber wrote at the beginning of a lengthy social media post.
Amber Rose also discussed her feelings on Kim Kardashian in general, saying that people think that she and Kim are enemies, but that is not the case. While one might think that Amber would dislike Kim (because of Kanye), she says that the two are actually pretty close.
“People think me and Kim are arch enemies and we’re not. We literally text each other all the time. We’re very, like, positive towards each other,” she said.
