Selena Gomez proved she is just like anyone else after doing a couple of snaps while she lip-synced on Nicki Minaj’s rap lines on Drake’s “Up All Night.”
According to Complex, Selena Gomez was at Paris when she was recording her latest Snapchat clips. Gomez just attended the Louis Vuitton Fashion Week and she even live-tweeted about her experience when she got stuck in an elevator.
Selena Gomez slayed Nicki Minaj’s notable verses in the song that this should make the rap queen proud. See how Gomez performed the song in a very laid-back manner.
Meanwhile, an interesting event happened during Charlie Puth’s live concert show in Dallas, Texas, last Friday when he yelled out to Selena Gomez’s ex, and said, “F**k you, Justin Bieber.” Puth was singing the verse: “Don’t wanna know/Kinda dress you’re wearing tonight/If he’s holdin onto you so tight/ The way I did before/I overdosed/Shoulda known your love was a game/Now I can’t get you out of my brain.”
Charlie Puth was sitting while playing the piano when he shouted this out. He was also singing the song which he collaborated with Selena Gomez, “We Don’t Talk Anymore.” As Charlie Puth continued through the verse, the crowd erupted and cheered.
This public call-out was very intriguing. Since Selena Gomez and Charlie Puth must have had pretty intense conversations during their recording sessions, it is possible that Gomez must have said something about her ex hurting her, according to HollywoodLife. After all, “We Don’t Talk Anymore” is supposed to be a breakup song.
On the other hand, before this issue even steps up to another level of controversy, Charlie Puth made it a point to stop rumors before they go viral. Earlier today, he tweeted a public apology about what happened during the concert. He said that what he did was “mean and uncalled for.”
“Hi everyone. I wanted to clear something up,” Charlie tweeted. “I tweeted this early this morning, but I thought it would be much more effective if I wrote this in one cohesive note rather than a series of tweets. What I said at the concert about Justin last night was meant to be lighthearted, and sounded so in my mind at the time, but of course hearing it now it sounded mean and uncalled for, which it was.”
Because of this apology, Charlie Puth seemed very sincere. He also acknowledged that it was not in his character to encourage bashing.
“My goal in life as a person and as an artists is to never exchange hateful vernacular between other artists, or anyone for that matter. The thematic and lyrical element that lies in the song I wrote entitled ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ hits very close to home for me and I let my emotions get the best of me last night mid song. I hope his fans can accept my apology and realize that people do make mistakes and that I wouldn’t be human if I didn’t make any. I deeply apologize for my words.”
At the end of the day, Charlie Puth has made a way to clear out this mess. It also seemed as if he and Selena Gomez are just good friends since Gomez is still linked to fashion executive Samuel Krost. The two were spotted holding hands in public.
Recently, Selena Gomez and Samuel Krost were photographed having a cozy dinner with Rita Ora and friends at the SLS hotel in Beverly Hills. Though a source told HollywoodLife that the two did not kiss during the dinner date, “they definitely seemed coupley.”
