Russell Wilson Makes Ciara Engagement News Official — Meanwhile, Future drops $21,000 In Dallas Strip Club
Russell Wilson announced that he proposed to Ciara and she accepted. It may just be coincidence, but the same night that Russell asked Future’s former fiance to marry him, the rapper headed to a Dallas strip club and celebrated the single life in a major way. According to TMZ, just hours after news of Wilson’s engagement to Ciara, Future dropped $21,000 on strippers and booze at Vlive in Dallas.
On Friday, Russell posted on Instagram to let fans know that he popped the question. Was there any doubt that Ciara would say yes? Russell and Ciara seem like the perfect couple and they seem to have gone about their whirlwind romance in the most perfect way. After just a year of dating, Wilson decided to ask the “Body Party” singer to be his wife.
The high-profile couple made waves last July when Wilson told attendees at the Rock Church that he and Ciara planned to remain celibate until marriage. Russell made his pledge public when he said, “I asked her, ‘What would you do if we took all that other stuff off the table and did it Jesus’ way, no sex?'” Obviously, Ciara was okay with it and the new NFL power couple at least publicly remained celibate. Of course, there were plenty of critics, including Khloe Kardashian, who recently criticized their abstinence vow on her own show Kocktails With Khloe, questioning their motive in going public with the no-sex pact.
Russell and Ciara’s engagement means Future’s biggest nightmare is coming true. Wilson really will be the step-father to his son, little Future. Future has been accused several times of slandering Ciara since she began dating the Seattle Seahawks quarterback. When Russell and Ciara announced that they planned to remain celibate until marriage, Future made sure to comment on how his ex-fiance never made him wait for anything.
Future continued to publicly berate and trash Ciara until January, when he went on a Twitter rant, calling his ex-fiance a b***h and claiming that despite paying $15,000 a month in child support, he couldn’t see his son. Future was immediately served by Ciara’s attorney with a cease and desist notice and was asked to retract his statement. Future never did apologize to Ciara for going all in on Twitter, and a lawsuit was filed against him just three days later.
It looks like the lawsuit might have finally silenced Future regarding any opinion he may have of Ciara going forward. Is that the reason why Future didn’t comment when news of Russell Wilson and Ciara’s engagement went viral? Rather than congratulate his baby mama or say something snarky about her incredibly wholesome relationship with Russell Wilson, Future went silent. In the letter written by Ciara’s lawyer, many of the claims Future had made about her in the past were finally rebutted and the rapper hasn’t even tried to argue with her in the media or on social media again.
Rather than discuss Ciara’s engagement announcement, Future took to Twitter to announce that he was headed for the strip club. According to reports, while visiting the popular Vlive Dallas, Future dropped at least $21,000 and spent hours in the club as a camera crew followed him around. Coincidentally, Future posted a picture of himself fanning out a huge wad of $100 bills on Instagram around the same time that he announced that he was headed for the strip club on Twitter. We hope they’re not like the ones 50 Cent has been flashing on social media. Anyway, it’s safe to assume that some of those bills are now in the possession of a few Dallas strippers.
