WWE News: WWE Superstar John Cena Set To Have A Major Role In ‘WrestleMania 32?’

John Cena has already come out publicly to say that he won’t be wrestling a match at WrestleMania 32. This is a big blow to WWE, who would love to have him in a match. Early reports had him facing The Undertaker on the grandest stage of them all, which could have been absolutely epic. A legend vs legend match? Even people who aren’t fans of Cena on a normal basis were into this idea for the 15 time World Champion.

The problem is that John Cena is injured, which sadly means he cannot perform. However, no one said that he could not have a role in WrestleMania 32. Clearly Cena won’t be ready for a match, but he could play spoiler for another one. According to Daily Wrestling News, Cena is hard at work trying to come back to the ring. He is expected to be ready by this summer.

Due to the fact that Cena is way ahead of schedule, some light physical roles have been pitched to him. One idea that has been thrown out there was for him to interfere in the Shane McMahon vs Undertaker match. The two will be fighting inside Hell in a Cell, and clearly Shane should not beat Undertaker cleanly all by himself.

It makes sense for someone to interfere in the match. The idea is that Cena can do it and help to set up a John Cena vs Undertaker match at WrestleMania 33.

Many believe that this year is not Undertaker’s last run and he might still want another match. He did want Cena for this year, but if he held off another year, he could retire after the Cena match. Vince McMahon reportedly would like it to be at either WrestleMania or SummerSlam later this year. It would not be crazy for Undertaker to work the match at SummerSlam, but this type of match is really WrestleMania worthy.

As of now, nothing is confirmed for John Cena at WrestleMania 32. However, it does make a lot of sense for him to be part of the Shane McMahon win. The Authority has been a thorn in his side for years and having another chance to remove them from power would be ideal. This time, he also does not have the power to bring them back like last year.

To add fuel to this bit of news, Cena sent out another one of his infamous Instagram pictures showing a ticket to WrestleMania. This proves he will certainly be present, but fans already knew that to begin with. It is interesting that he has a ticket and would not just be in the back since he does work for the company. Usually Cena just does this as a way to drop hints about something upcoming.

He put up a picture of AJ Styles before the debut and a picture of The Undertaker before the big Shane McMahon return and WrestleMania match set up with Taker.

That means the ticket obviously means something, and most likely for John Cena himself. It would be crazy to believe Cena would miss potentially the biggest WrestleMania of all time. WWE has already broken their all-time attendance record for WrestleMania, and that means Cena won’t be sitting on the sidelines at all. That could be a good thing for the WWE and it could be a huge WrestleMania moment that fans will remember for some time. This is especially true if the Shane win becomes a catalyst for a new WWE.
