John Legend Blasts ‘Racist’ Donald Trump In Twitter Feud With Trump Jr.

John Legend is blasting Donald Trump in a heated Twitter feud with Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr.

Legend and the younger Trump battled it out on social media through a number of social media exchanges on March 12, where John blasted Donald Trump Sr. as a “racist.”

The drama began when John Legend replied to Donald Trump Jr.’s tweet where he boasted that five students who were protesting during one of Trump’s latest appearances “couldn’t even answer” when asked why. “The participation medal/micro aggression generation is pretty sad!” Trump tweeted out.

Legend then took serious aim at the Presidential hopeful with a pretty scathing message, telling Donald on the 140-character site, “I think they were protesting your racist father. This isn’t complicated.”

“Here we go again,” Trump Jr. wrote on the social media site in reply to Legend, “That can’t be the answer for everything you don’t like. That’s why the country is so divided now!”

But the feud certainly didn’t stop there.

“Yes, Trump trolls. I’m the real racist,” Legend wrote in another tweet, which included a link to a Daily Beast article that claimed Trump discriminated against African Americans hoping to rent an apartment in one of his buildings in 1973.

John Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigan also got in on the social media drama, replying to Legend’s tweet “got em” before adding in another message, “also the term is UN-PC now, get it right.”

Twitter user @DanielT03571138 then waded in on the Twitter feud, tweeting to both Donal Trump junior and Donald Trump senior, “is John Legend that disgraceful? No education.” Legend then hit back at the remarks, tweeting, “the Donalds and I graduated from the same University, funny enough.”

According to People, both Trump and Legend attended the University of Pennsylvania. The site revealed that Trump graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1968 while John attained a bachelor’s in English with an emphasis on African-American literature a few years later.

The Twitter feud between John Legend and Donald Trump Jr. first began after John retweeted a number of tweets condemning Trump and his views as he runs for President on the 140-character site on March 11.

Legend first retweeted a message posted to the site by author Rachel Held Evans which read, “Trump yesterday: ‘If you beat [protestors] up, I’ll pay the legal fees.’ Trump today: ‘I don’t want violence.'”

John Legend also re-posted a similar message from singer Josh Groban, who wrote on March 11, “When Trump says ‘I’d hate for anyone to get hurt’ I can just see his miniature orange fingers crossed behind his back.”

According to Entertainment Tonight, Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen previously found herself on the receiving end of some not so nice comments from Trump supporters back in November after she referred to the presidential hopeful as a “t**t.”

“lol poor melania doesn’t need to be dragged into this. She goes through enough already,” Teigen tweeted out after she was met with some pretty scathing replies from Trump supporters who brought up Donald’s wife Melania last year.

Chrissy also joked in a separate tweet that she received the “greatest birthday gift ever” after Trump retweeted a message from a Twitter user who described John Legend’s wife as being a “trashy gutter mouth woman.”

“You can’t hold a candle2 @MelaniaTrump when it comes2 beauty and eloquence,” the Twitter user continued.

“Ok trumpers let’s get one thing straight, we both married well and pose half naked, I’m not alone in this,” Chrissy then hit back on the social media site on November 30, referring to her own marriage to John Legend and Melania’s marriage to Donald Trump.
