Rubio Voters: Don’t Vote For Marco In Ohio — Marco Rubio Didn’t Drop Out But Urges Kasich Vote To #StopTrump [Video]

Senator Marco Rubio doesn’t want Rubio supporters voting for “little Marco,” as Donald Trump dubbed Marco, on Tuesday, March 15, in Ohio. According to Business Insider, the Republican presidential candidate is telling voters in Ohio not to vote for the Florida Republican. Instead, Senator Marco’s presidential campaign is adopting a unique strategy of telling Ohio voters to vote instead for Ohio Governor John Kasich.

Marco Rubio’s communications director, Alex Conant, can be seen in the above video explaining the logic that Rubio supporters in Ohio should vote for Kasich if Rubio isn’t their top choice anyway. The same deal should follow for Florida voters, who should vote for Rubio in Florida — if that’s their choice — in order to deny GOP front-runner Donald Trump two “huge” wins on Super Tuesday.

Since Kasich and Rubio are each attempting to win their home states — Ohio and Florida, respectively — they are the two of biggest states that could provide Rubio and Kasich with the much-coveted delegates that any presidential candidate needs.

Voters who want to adopt the “don’t vote for Rubio in Ohio” tactic can cast ballots for Kasich. Even if they aren’t a Republican voter, according to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections website, voters can declare or change their political party affiliation under Ohio election law, which is a tactic that could work to bring plenty of voters of all persuasions a vote for Kasich to win the state of Ohio on Tuesday. If they have no political party association, they can also follow these instructions to vote in Ohio on Primary Election Day.

“How Do I Declare or Change Political Party Affiliation?

Under Ohio election law, you can change your political party at a Primary Election only. This is done by requesting the ballot type for the political party with which you wish to be affiliated, Ohio Revised Code Section 3513.19,.20.

If you do not want to be affiliated with a political party in Ohio, you are considered to be an unaffiliated voter. An unaffiliated voter is identified by some people as an “independent voter.” If you wish to remain an unaffiliated voter, you should only vote with an Official Questions and Issues Ballot, if there are any present, for your precinct on Primary Election Day. Unaffiliated or independent voters can vote for candidates and issues in a General Election.”

According to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections website, March 15 is considered a “Primary Election,” with polls opening at 6:30 a.m. and closing at 7:30 p.m. (Check your local Ohio county’s website for other Ohio county voting times.)

The rousing Republican presidential debate that took place at the University of Miami on Thursday, March 10, in Coral Gables, Florida, proved to be one where the candidates acted more humane, noted Trump. Trump was called to the carpet by Rubio for preaching about not using foreign factories for the manufacturing of products. Meanwhile, Rubio urged that real and true answers — not just “politically correct” but actually “correct,” said Rubio — be given when it comes to taxes and levies issued in foreign trade deals.

While Trump waxed on about taxes and levies as high as 45 percent imposed on China and other countries when they act badly or don’t behave, as Trump was wont to say, Rubio reminded the American public that the 45 percent taxes and levies would be paid by Americans when they walk into Wal-Mart and other stores. Rubio spoke of his grandfather and other fond memories.

With Conant urging Ohio voters on Friday on CNN that a vote for Rubio in Ohio was like a vote for Trump, the political strategy is being called fascinating by Ohio voters and others.

“I’m just stating the obvious. If you are a Republican primary voter in Ohio and you want to defeat Donald Trump, your best chance in Ohio is John Kasich. Because John Kasich is the sitting governor. He’s very close to Donald Trump in some of the polls there.”

Kasich might not adopt the don’t vote for me strategy that Rubio is adopting in Ohio. If Trump loses both Ohio and Florida, Trump’s delegate count wouldn’t make Trump unstoppable.
