Stacey Dash is at it again with more insults, this time toward first-time Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio. Apparently, Dicaprio and his opinions about climate change and global warming have struck a nerve with Dash.
From the official website of the Oscars, Leonardo Dicaprio’s speech has been transcribed, and this is the part of the speech that has Stacey Dash so riled up.
“…And lastly I just want to say this: Making The Revenant was about man’s relationship to the natural world. A world that we collectively felt in 2015 as the hottest year in recorded history. Our production needed to move to the southern tip of this planet just to be able to find snow. Climate change is real, it is happening right now. It is the most urgent threat facing our entire species, and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating. We need to support leaders around the world who do not speak for the big polluters, but who speak for all of humanity, for the indigenous people of the world, for the billions and billions of underprivileged people out there who would be most affected by this.”
Two weeks after the speech is given, Stacey Dash decided to mock DiCaprio via her Twitter account.

The reference to Chicken Little is an attempt to prove that DiCaprio is stirring up public emotion for no reason and that he should get his priorities in order. At first, Dash was not going to address the speech, but she just couldn’t help herself. According to the New York Daily News, Stacey Dash states global warming issues are not as important as protecting our borders from dangerous immigrants and foreign terrorist.
“There are people 10 miles from Leo starving, stuck on entitlement. Twenty first century NAZIS to deal with and North Koreans playing with nukes.”
Unfortunately, this just adds to the long list of public bashing that Stacey Dash has participated in. No one is free from her wrath, including President Barack Obama (stating that he “bamboozled America”). She also stated that America should get rid of Black History Month and the Black Entertainment Television (BET) channel because it promotes segregation. Now, Dash has attacked Leonardo DiCaprio and his thoughts on climate change.
Although Stacey Dash addresses Leonard DiCaprio and his Oscar speech, the general public is still confused as to why she was there to begin with. It seems that she was to sarcastically appear and address the challenges involving minorities in Hollywood, with Chris Rock stating she is the new “Academy Director of Diversity Outreach” when she herself declares there are not diversity problems in Hollywood. With the awkward silence in the room, its apparent only Dash and Rock were in on the joke.
But why does she do it? A recent Inquisitr article explains that Stacey Dash made an appearance at the Oscars to accomplish one of her dreams. As an actress, she knew she would get to the Oscars ceremony somehow, and when this opportunity arrived, she had to oblige. Dash acknowledges that her controversial thoughts on diversity, race, and politics are what got her to this point. Dash also wanted to prove to others African Americans that she is “black enough” to represent herself as a free-thinking woman who isn’t a sheep among the flock.
It’s hard to tell whether Stacey Dash is serious when expressing her personal views or if there is a hidden agenda. Stacey Dash is a regular guest on conservative show Fox & Friends, where they regularly discuss politics and entertainment. Dash also has her own personal blog, where she shares many of her personal views.
