Jennifer Aniston Talks Marriage To Theroux, Her Drive For Acting And Feeling Fabulous In Her 40s

Jennifer Aniston is a notable actress who has established herself as a talent that can take on a multitude of roles, whether dramatic or comedic, and dazzle her audience. She’s earned her status as one of America’s sweethearts and adored actresses and, although has found herself the subject of break-up rumors — even after marrying actor and screenplay writer Justin Theroux — Aniston shares that their marriage and relationship is just as solid as it’s ever been.

In a candid interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the 47-year-old responded to questions concerning life as a married couple. Aniston relayed how similar life is to before their secretive wedding ceremony.

“Married life is so normal and fun and not much different. We felt married for so long.”

The Friends beauty then went on to share how proud she is of her hubby, who is currently filming the adaptation of The Girl on the Train in New York, for all of his success in the entertainment industry.

“As they say in the business, ‘He’s on fire.’ I’m so proud of him.”

As People shares, Jen has recently gushed over Theroux for his sense of humor and the ease that he brings to the marriage.

“I’m lucky because Justin is the funniest person I’ve met, and we make each other laugh. Laughter is one of the great keys to staying youthful.”

Aniston and Theroux have nestled into their beautiful Bel Air mansion well, the same grounds the couple’s secretive wedding was held on, and Jen relays to the publication that she loves her home life so much that she will only leave it for projects that really get her heart racing and make it worth her while.

“I really have to love something to be leaving my home, my dogs, my husband. The older you get, the more you realize that.”

A recent project which will hit theaters this month, Mother’s Day was a role that was definitely worth getting her to the studio and out of her love nest. The comedy stars Aniston, along with Julia Roberts, Kate Hudson and Jason Sudeikis. At the moment, Aniston has started filming for a drama, Yellow Birds, which will be another dramatic role for the star, after her critically acclaimed performance in Cake from a couple of years back.

Even though Jen admits to being pickier about roles she signs on for, she says that she is working steadily and enjoying it.

“There’s a steadiness, for sure, but also this desire to peel away more. You know, like ‘F*** it.’ What’s a more graceful term?”

The actress shared how the response to her performance in Cake helped to prove what she knew all along.

“I can do other things. I feel a sense of freedom that I hadn’t necessarily felt before. Also, you have to start taking chances in an industry that’s very insecure about taking chances on people. People forget who actors are. They say, ‘You’re too known to play that part. You can’t disappear.’ And we’re like, ‘Give us a chance. We’ll disappear.’ “

However, in regards to the stunner’s way of life and her brand, disappearing is not entirely a possibility. Fans of the star look to Aniston for health tips, fitness advice and they buy the products for which she is the face by the heaps. Jen is the face for Aveeno and has gotten millions set on drinking nothing but Smartwater. Joking about her promotional strong hold, the star shares that there is a new product being added to the brand.

“They make Smartwater in sparkling now! Just sayin.”

Jen adds that she feels like in her 40s she’s really discovered who she is and feels at her best.

“I feel better in my 40s. Not only do you feel better in your body physically, but you’re mentally better. Because, say, in your 20s, you didn’t know s***. For me, in my 30s I was just trying to figure it all out. Then when you hit 40, you’re like, ‘Oh, okay. I got this.’ There are women who’ve hit 50 who are stunners, like shocking. We just take better care of ourselves. I had somebody say to me, ‘Women these days in their 40s look pretty good!’ She shakes her head. And this was a much older person. I mean, who says that?”

There is no question that Aniston does.
