Bette Midler Challenges Kim Kardashian To Put Her ‘Selfie To Work’ And Donate To Charity

The online Twitter exchange between Kim Kardashian and Bette Midler all started a few days ago when the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star posted a naked selfie on Twitter with the caption, “When you’re like I have nothing to wear LOL.” Soon after, 70-year-old actress Bette Midler responded to Kim’s post, criticizing the reality star.

From then on, it was a back and forth exchange on Twitter between Kardashian and Midler. Kim accused Bette of being a fake friend, referring to the time when she received a gift from the actress. “I really didn’t want to bring up how you sent me a gift awhile back trying to be a fake friend then come at me,” Kim responded. She also sent another tweet to Bette Midler.

Bette then responded to Kim’s tweets, saying that she was never a “fake friend.”

It didn’t stop there. a few hours ago, Bette Midler posted another tweet, tagging Kim Kardashian.

Kim Kardashian has not responded to Bette Midler’s latest tweets, but it seems that Midler wants to turn things around and make something good come out of her Twitter exchange with Kim.

As reported by People, Bette is now challenging Kim to “put her selfie to work” and donate money to charity. She posted a photoshopped image of herself, covering her body with a cardboard sheet and taking a selfie. Midler also says that she will double whatever amount Kim comes up with. The challenge is on.

Bette Midler’s charity, Stages for Success, is an initiative that uses donations to revamp and modernize auditoriums of public schools that are dysfunctional in order to give children a platform to perform.

As of writing, the organization has already raised $141,361 of their $150,000 goal. Considering Kim Kardashian’s large following on Twitter, taking on the challenge of Bette Midler will help, or most likely even exceed, Stages for Success’ goal amount. Kim currently has 41.6 million followers on Twitter and 61.3 million followers on Instagram. A post from the selfie Queen would reach millions of users.

Clapping back is a way for someone to instantly gain the upper hand against an adversary who they felt disrespected them, their family members or close friends. Kim Kardashian has not responded to Bette Midler’s donation challenge. She may be too busy cashing in more checks, just like she tweeted on March 8.

Kim was referring to her husband Kanye West’s supposed $53 million debt, as he revealed. If Kim’s tweet is true, Kanye’s debt is paid off, with millions of dollars to spare. Meanwhile, Kim has posted another nude photo after facing criticism for posting her first nude selfie. She captioned the image “#liberated.”
