‘Pawn Stars’ Chumlee Arrested: Drug, Gun Charges Filed During Police Raid [Breaking]

Chumlee from Pawn Stars has been arrested. According to TMZ, the reality star was picked up by police during a raid at his home in Las Vegas. Authorities were on official duty at Chumlee’s home investigating a sexual assault claim. He was taken into custody on guns and drugs charges.

“Las Vegas Metro PD says officers showed up at his home Wednesday afternoon with a search warrant in connection with a sexual assault case. We’re told Chumlee is the suspect in that case. Our law enforcement sources tell us cops found marijuana, meth, and a weapon during the search,” reports TMZ.

Chumlee was booked for drug and weapon possession. It is unclear what the sexual assault case has to do with, but TMZ reports that police are still investigating. The Pawn Star (his real name is Austin L. Russell) is facing very serious charges. According to Complex, police nailed him with 19 counts of drug possession. He was also charged with “owning or possessing a gun by a prohibited person.”

According to Hollywood Life, police found “several” guns inside Chumlee’s home. Police showed up at his home with a warrant earlier today. It is unknown how long police were in the home — or what they were looking for — before they took Chumlee into custody.

Chumlee is currently being held at a jail in Clark County, Nevada. Check out his mugshot photo below.

Fans are reacting to the news on social media, many surprised to hear that Chumlee is a suspect in a sexual assault case.

Chumlee is one of the top appraisers at the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas. Rick Harrison, “Old Man” Richard Harrison, and Corey Harrison are all a part of The History Channel show, which has been on for 12 seasons. It is unclear if The History Channel will be taking any action as far as kicking Chumlee off the show. It will likely all depend on how these charges shake out. If there are sexual assault charges added to the mix, that could pretty much end Chumlee’s run on the show. Not to mention that he could be fired from the shop altogether.

So far, no statement has been released by The History Channel.

Update:

Chumlee has been released from jail on bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday morning, but it is unknown if he has hired a lawyer to represent him. Authorities say that the sexual assault case is still open and the investigation is ongoing.
