Florida Babysitter Accused Of Passing Out Naked While Caring For Tot
A Florida babysitter has been arrested after she allegedly passed out while on the job, but that isn’t the only detail in this bizarre case. The Toronto Sun reports that 24-year-old Whitney L. Kilcrease was turned in to police by her own father, which resulted in a mugshot that is sure to attract attention.
The incident reportedly took place last month in Okaloosa County. The 24-year-old babysitter was left to care for a toddler while her dad was out of the home — a span of time the man claims was only about two hours. New York Daily News reports that when the man returned to the home, his daughter was passed out completely nude after apparently consuming a bottle of Captain Morgan Rum by herself.
The Florida woman’s father removed the toddler from the home, but by this time, she had woken up from her alleged drunken stupor. Reports indicate that Kilcrease became violent and belligerent while her father was separating her from the toddler that was left to play alone while she slept naked on the floor in the same room. She reportedly began throwing things during this incident. Reports didn’t indicate whether or not the toddler is related to Kilcrease and her father.
Officers with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office claim that the Florida woman was unable to stand on her own when they arrived at the scene of the incident. They say that her speech was badly slurred, and she was unable to make intelligible statements. When she was taken to a nearby hospital at the time of her arrest, her blood alcohol level was four times the legal limit at.305.
Whitney Kilcrease was charged with child neglect after allegedly stripping down and passing out under the influence of alcohol, while caring for the unnamed toddler. The Florida woman could face possible jail time and a fine, depending on her legal record and the decisions of the court.

This isn’t the first time a Florida woman has been arrested for crimes involving children. Last year, a West Palm woman was arrested after her 11-year-old son told authorities that he had smoked marijuana with her. The story was backed up by at least one witness, who also told police that they saw the mother-son duo smoking weed together. Casey Sanders was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and child neglect. Earlier this year, a Florida mom was arrested after she allegedly left her young child in a burning apartment building, even going as far as telling a neighbor that the apartment wasn’t on fire when she fled from it. Erica Rosello was charged with child neglect. Thankfully, the child did not die in the fire and has been removed from the care of her mother.
