WWE Rumors: Updated Card For ‘Roadblock’ And Rumored Matches — Huge New Title Match Just Added

Sure, the world may be waiting anxiously for WrestleMania 32, but there is one more obstacle to overcome before that. On Saturday night, there will be a live special on the WWE Network called Roadblock, and the care is continuing to build. So far, things are already looking really good for it, but on Tuesday evening, a huge match was added and it will see the League of Nations taking on The New Day for the WWE Tag Team Titles.

Many thought that The New Day would end up facing Y2AJ at WrestleMania 32 for the tag titles, but all of that changed on Monday night. When Chris Jericho turned on AJ Styles, that tag feud went out the window to set up another singles match.

That ended up leaving Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods without a match on the biggest show of that year, but that may soon change.

On Tuesday night, the WWE website revealed that a match for the WWE Tag Team Titles will take place this Saturday night at Roadblock. The New Day will defend their titles against the League of Nations in the form of the team of Sheamus and King Barrett.

“Yes, just five days after surviving Y2AJ on Raw, the outspoken professors of the power of positivity could be forced to eat their words. In recent weeks, “the lads” (Sheamus & Barrett) have been the subject of ridicule thanks to the social media antics of Big E, Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods. Unfortunately for WWE’s “magical” unicorns, the new No. 1 contenders have also been on a dominant streak as of late — leaving numerous competitors in their wake. As two of their members take up the fight for tandem glory, there is no doubt that Alberto Del Rio and Rusev will be at ringside as well. This means the titleholders will not be able to enjoy their usual numbers advantage.”

Alberto Del Rio and Rusev will very likely be at ringside which is going to outnumber The New Day by one. WWE seems to be building on this feud which kind of started at Fastlane, but then took a small break for a few weeks.

With that match being added, that makes four matches confirmed and in place for Roadblock. One of those matches is a WWE World Heavyweight Title match between Triple H and Dean Ambrose, and it could have some huge consequences on WrestleMania 32.

Things are certainly very interesting right now as Roadblock is becoming bigger and more important with each passing day. SE Scoops is reporting that the live WWE Network special is no longer 2.5 hours, but has been upped to three hours which is equal to a regular, monthly pay-per-view.

So far, there are two other matches on the card as well.

Bray Wyatt is going to be facing off with Brock Lesnar in a match that is likely going to be absolutely brutal and full of force. Luckily for Lesnar, half of The Wyatt Family won’t be nearby as Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman are scheduled for another WWE Live event that night.

NXT will be well represented at Roadblock as well with The Revival (Dash and Dawson) taking on Enzo Amore and Big Cass. Yes, the NXT Tag Team Titles will be on the line, and Big Cass will be working through a left leg injury that he needs to overcome in order to win the straps.

A newly turned heel Chris Jericho will also be hosting an edition of “The Highlight Reel.” While it’s not known what the subject of the show will be, it’s expected to answer a lot of questions regarding Jericho’s explosive partnership with AJ Styles.

Roman Reigns was originally rumored to be taking on Sheamus at Roadblock, but that is obviously out with the Celtic Warrior going after the WWE Tag Team Titles held by The New Day. This live WWE Network special is getting bigger and bigger, and it’s actually turning into one of the best cards of the year so far.
