Kim Kardashian Slams Slut-Shaming Critics Post-Nude Photo Controversy: ‘I’m Allowed To Be Sexy’

Kim Kardashian has taken to her official website, hoping to fully address all the questions that she has been bombarded with after having posted a string of nude photos on her social media pages.

The 35-year-old mother-of-two caused outrage when she posted a photo — completely nude — mocking herself by saying she didn’t have anything to wear. Numerous celebrities replied to Kim’s daring photo, stressing how inappropriate it was for someone with fans as young as 13 to be flaunting herself completely nude on the internet once again.

Other stars, such as Bette Midler, made fun of Kim Kardashian, joking that the socialite needed to swallow the camera if she really wanted the world to see a part of her body they hadn’t seen before.

Having already slammed Midler for her comments regarding Kim’s desire to pose naked all over social media, Kardashian has now posted a lengthy statement, stressing that she has become sick and tired of having to put up with slut-shaming critics who continue to hold an infamous sex tape against her.

Kim Kardashian says that people are giving her the impression she shouldn’t feel confident and sexy in her own body, hitting back at those who criticised her for being a bad role model. The ageing Armenian Instagram model continued by questioning herself as to why people are so worked up about the things she chooses to do with her life, stating that her decisions should only affect her and nobody else.

“I wanted to write a post elaborating on my tweets last night. In all seriousness, I never understand why people get so bothered by what other people choose to do with their lives. I don’t do drugs, I hardly drink, I’ve never committed a crime, and yet I’m a bad role model for being proud of my body?”

But it didn’t end there. Kim Kardashian went on to say that she is a strong woman that embraces her curves and empowers her body. Whether it’s through a magazine shoot or through the act of posting nude selfies via social media, she’s not defined by her nude photos and won’t stop anyone from making her think otherwise.

“I am empowered by my body,” Kardashian writes. “I am empowered by my sexuality. I am empowered by feeling comfortable in my skin. I am empowered by showing the world my flaws and not being afraid of what anyone is going to say about me.”

Kim goes on to thank her Kardashian sisters, whom she refers to as being “strong, driven independent women.” She feels lucky and blessed to be surrounded by her siblings, who have made her realise that embracing her curves should be celebrated as opposed to being made out to look like there is something wrong with it.

Kim Kardashian concludes her lengthy statement, saying that all the things she has learned in life so far will most certainly be passed down to her 3-year-old daughter, North West. Kim says she wants North to be proud of the woman that she has yet to become, and certainly wouldn’t want people making her feel any less of the person she is destined to be, regardless of the decisions she chooses to make.
