‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Jack Learns Kelly Andrews May Not Be Dead, Victor Lied, Kelly To Return To Genoa City?
Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) could learn that Kelly Andrews (Cady McClain) never died in the cartel boat last year, and she could play a big part in Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) trial. Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) told Jack no one died on the boat and lead soap opera viewers to believe that included Kelly as well. Is it possible that Kelly is still alive and may show up as a star witness to help dethrone the great Victor Newman?
Kelly Andrews was an emotionally damaged woman who Victor used to further his endgame with Jack. As Young and the Restless fans saw unfold on the show, Victor used her to make sure that Jack believed he killed several people and used that false information to control him. Victor knew that Jack’s biggest fear was going to jail and used that information to make sure Jack did exactly what he wanted: conceal Victor’s terrible crimes.
The ever-going rumor was initially reported by Celeb Dirty Laundry and stated that Kelly could have been drugged to appear dead and moved by Marco to go live her life in secret. According to the report, Victor not only promised Kelly safety from Phyllis Abbott (Gina Tognoni), but he told her she’d be with Jack again. Kelly believed that Victor had her best interests at heart, even if it was a naive choice.
Young and the Restless spoilers point out that this wouldn’t be the first time that Victor was able to gaslight an emotionally fragile woman on the show. If you recall, Victor has toyed with Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) and Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) in the past as well. By now, Victor is an expert at it and has proven over and over that he doesn’t care about anyone’s feelings but his own. He will sacrifice his children’s happiness and well-being if it means that he can get ahead somehow.
Even if Kelly Andrews comes back to Genoa City to confront Victor and Jack for their role in her alleged death, Cady McClain likely won’t reprise the role, as she is busy with other projects, according to She Knows Soaps. After The Young and the Restless decided to write her off the show last year, McClain was pretty vocal about her experience with the show. Cady felt blinded by her dismissal and claimed that it came out of nowhere.
Young and the Restless head writer Chuck Pratt noted that Kelly Andrews was not intended to be a permanent character on the show. Her existence in the series was to create drama and tension between Jack and Phyllis. Kelly’s presence in Jack’s life drove Phyllis to her breaking point. She couldn’t stop imagining that Jack really wanted Kelly and only stayed with her out of obligation.

Kelly’s return to Young and the Restless storylines could be fascinating and create conflict for both Jack and Victor. Kelly could bring critical information that puts Victor in prison for a very long time. Is it possible that Kelly is alive after all this time, and if so, will she make her way back to Genoa City after learning about Victor’s arrest?
