Kim Richards Discusses Hotel Arrest On ‘Watch What Happens Live’

Kim Richards has had a rough time over the last 18 months. From issues with the other ladies on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to relapsing with alcohol, it has seemed like nothing could go right for the reality star. Richards has been working on her sobriety, and accusations came out about her using drugs and drinking again. She has been dealing with a lot of personal issues, and Lisa Rinna badgering her alleged drug use was not helping. Upon finally breaking down and giving in to the alcohol, Kim Richards has made more problems for herself than necessary.

Last spring, Kim Richards was arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel for public intoxication. It has been almost a year since then, and fans are going to get some answers to questions they have. According to Us Weekly, Kim Richards is going to appear on Watch What Happens Live to talk about what really happened with falling off the wagon. While she says there are no excuses, she continues to make excuse after excuse as to why she began drinking again. Richards says she was dealing with family issues, including her ex-husband, Monty Brinson, ailing from cancer. When she discussed the situation on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills last season, it was definitely painful for her. Richards was taking care of him, and essentially watching him die.

After battling cancer for quite some time, Kim Richards’ ex-husband, Monty Brinson, passed away. It was something incredibly difficult for her to deal with, and it happened during a time when she was estranged from a lot of important people in her life. Things haven’t always been good between Richards and her sisters. The relationship with Kyle is incredibly strained, much of it being documented on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Even during the current season, things aren’t quite repaired between the Richards sisters. It does appear that they are working toward repairing their relationships, but things are still rocky. On the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, fans got to see the sisters interact and talk through some things.

While this interview between Kim Richards and Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live will answer a lot of questions, it will also bring about doubts. Some of the things mentioned by Richards have taken people by surprise, especially her version of events. The arrest was due to alleged public intoxication; however, that is something she denies. According to Radar Online, Kim Richards claims she only had a glass of wine before ending up at the Beverly Hills Hotel. She wanted to sit in her booth in the Polo Lounge, and it wasn’t allowed. Richards said it escalated from there.

There was one other incident Kim Richards was asked about during the show, but she declined to address it. After the drunken arrest at the Beverly Hills Hotel, there was another arrest. Richards was caught shoplifting at Target. When Andy Cohen asks about this on Watch What Happens Live, he is immediately shut down. Richards says that it is a legal issue, and she cannot discuss it. While that may be true, it is also potentially embarrassing for the reality star. Her behaviors were all over the place last year, and the Target incident was one of the most bizarre. Things seem to be settling down for Richards now that it has been a few weeks since Monty Brinson passed. She is seemingly working toward rebuilding her life. Living your life on a public forum isn’t always easy, and this was shown as fans watched her downward spiral. Kim Richards is currently sober, and learning to take things one day at a time.
