Following the trend of odd casting choices of season 2 of American Horror Story, creator Ryan Murphy, has tapped dancer and Step Up actress Jenna Dewan as an additional cast member.

It is said that Dewan, who in real life is married to Magic Mike’s Channing Tatum, is going to get down and dirty with Maroon 5’s Adam Levine. Levine was cast a few weeks back as one half of the “The Lovers” that will be featured on American Horror Story. Although the singer admitted to not having watched the previous season, he was excited for the opportunity to be a part of Ryan Murphy’s twisted creation.

It is said that Jenna Dewan and Adam Levine’s story will be an essential story to the new season, and that their roles will be pivotal to the plot that is taking place this year in an insane asylum. Season 2 of American Horror Story has been under wraps as it went through an unconventional process for the 2nd season. It was announced that half of the cast from season 1 wouldn’t be returning for storyline purposes, and instead of keeping the show serialized, Murphy said each season will have a fresh premise with a different arc and setting.

Dewan and Tatum join season 1 vets Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, and Zachary Quinto, who will all portray different characters this time around. Added to the bloated cast are Joseph Fiennes, James Cromwell, Chloe Sevigny and French actress Lizzie Brochere.

The production for American Horror Story has already started and is said to air in October on FX. The show has fared terrific with critics and even managed to nab 17 Emmy nominations and are tied for the most nominations with Mad Men.
