‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: Season 6, Episode 13 ‘The Same Boat’ Is a Standoff Between Negan and Rick

As The Walking Dead draws closer to the season 6 finale, the world has become a lot scarier for Rick and the survivors with the arrival of Negan and the Saviors. Season 6, episode 12 titled “Not Tomorrow Yet” ends in a huge cliffhanger with two of Rick’s closest group members captured by Negan. What will happen in episode 13 titled “The Same Boat”? Check out the trailer released by AMC and keep reading if you want the episode to be thoroughly spoiled.

It looks like “The Same Boat” is going to explain exactly how Maggie and Carol got captured. At the end of episode 12 “Not Tomorrow Yet,” fans were left with a cliffhanger as a woman’s voice came over the loudspeaker. As Rick and his group stood over the Saviors, as if they conquered and were about to move forward, they learned that Maggie and Carol had been found as they guarded the perimeter, and Negan was now holding a huge bargaining chip.

The thing is, Rick and the survivors captured a few men of their own, which explains the title, “The Same Boat.” Now, Rick has to hope that Negan values the men they didn’t kill enough to give Maggie and Carol back. They are still learning what Negan is all about. Rick and Daryl seem to think that Negan won’t be that hard to take down, with Daryl even calling him a bluffer. Well, comic book readers know he is definitely not a bluffer. Actually, Negan has been described as one of the best villains in the history of television, and we haven’t even seen him yet!

One little spoiler to know about Negan is that he may be foul-mouthed and barbaric, but he has a rule about not killing women and kids. That doesn’t mean he won’t hurt them, though. So while Negan may or may not care about the captured Saviors that Rick’s group has, there’s a pretty good chance Carol and Maggie will both make it out alive.

Lauren Cohan has already dropped enough clues about Maggie’s character that we know she’ll make it to the finale. It’s unclear if this standoff between Negan and Rick will last very long, or if we’ll get Maggie and Carol back in the next episode or if their imprisonment will continue beyond “The Same Boat.”

There are some other loose ends that we’re hoping will also be tied up in the upcoming episode of The Walking Dead. One of them has to do with the Abraham love triangle with Rosita and Sasha. Did Abraham really just say that to Rosita in “Not Tomorrow Yet”? A lot of TWD fans are angry with Abraham right now, and maybe killing him isn’t such a good idea. Then fans would hate him forever for giving Rosita the boot in such a rude way.

Of course, this means the door is now open for Abraham and Sasha. Now that he’s thoroughly upset with Rosita, will Abraham go running to Sasha for some loving? It’s more likely that Abraham will stay single for a while, especially after his conversation with Glenn and Maggie during their trip to the Hilltop colony. Abraham intentionally insulted Rosita so that she wouldn’t want him, that way he doesn’t have to be close to anyone in such a turbulent world. Abraham decided he wasn’t going to have a family in the post-apocalyptic world, and it looks like he aims to make sure no woman is tempted to try and change his mind.

Rick has a lot of big decisions coming up on season 6, episode 13 “The Same Boat.” Getting Maggie and Carol back from Negan is going to be real tricky. Did Rick and the survivors get in over their heads,or can they pull this off?
