First High-Profile Endorsement Via Snapchat: Arnold Schwarzenegger Uses Snapchat To Endorse John Kasich
Arnold Schwarzenegger used Snapchat to endorse GOP candidate John Kasich for president. Schwarzenegger took to Snapchat alongside his candidate of choice, John Kasich, to announce that he would be endorsing Kasich for the GOP nomination and for president of the United States of America. In addition to receiving the high-profile endorsement, Schwarzenegger is allegedly also hitting the campaign trail with Kasich in a bid to help the presidential hopeful pull through two important wins in Michigan and Ohio.
CNN reports that in what is believed to be the first high-profile presidential endorsement via Snapchat, Arnold Schwarzenegger endorsed Republican candidate John Kasich using the social media platform. The Snapchat video began with Arnold Schwarzenegger looking at the camera stating, “I want John Kasich to be the next nominee of the Republicans and also to be the next president of the United States.” The two-term California governor then turned the camera to Kasich who was in the room with him. Noting “here he is,” Kasich responded to Schwarzenegger’s endorsement by saying, “Thanks, Arnold. Love you, man!”

Though this is the first time that the two-term California governor has endorsed Kasich, it has been widely known that he has supported the candidate as the pair have been seen together on the campaign trail. Additionally, during a New Hampshire town hall “tele-conference,” Schwarzenegger threw support to Kasich
Kasich and Schwarzenegger were also seen on a bus together in Ohio for a campaign speech in which Kasich noted that this is “how the governators” arrive to a rally.

Arnold joined Kasich on the stage at the Battleground Ohio rally and prior to his official endorsement had already tweeted about the John Kasich rally in Ohio with an official link titled “Arnold Rally.”

The Associated Press is reporting that Schwarzenegger has called Kasich an “action hero” in his own right and that the Republican has “kicked some serious butt” during his last 18 years in Washington. Arnold was seen sporting an official Kasich jacket while the presidential hopeful is wearing a custom coat that was given to him as a gift by the Terminator star. The jacket features the words “Governator II.”

Interestingly, Schwarzenegger has ties to another presidential candidate as well. Arnold will be taking over as the host of Celebrity Apprentice for Kasich’s GOP rival Donald Trump. In fact, CNN Money is already calling the campaign an “Apprentice” vs. “Apprentice” showdown now that Schwarzenegger is on the campaign trail for Kasich.
Though Trump did not earn an endorsement from Arnold, that didn’t stop him from congratulating the California governor for landing the job as his replacement. In fact, Trump called Arnold Schwarzenegger “a friend” in his Twitter shout-out and said he is sorry to fans that he can no longer fit The Apprentice in his schedule due to his presidential campaign.
To all my fans, sorry I couldn’t do The Apprentice any longer—but equal time (presidential run) prohibits me from doing so. Love!

Congrats to my friend @Schwarzenegger who is doing next season’s Celebrity Apprentice. He’ll be great & will raise lots of $ for charity.

Do you think Arnold Schwarzenegger waited too long to endorse John Kasich or will he give the current underdog a fighting chance?
