The NBA Champion Golden State Warriors, in the midst of a potentially historic season, visit Los Angeles Sunday to face the Lakers, and fans who watch a live stream of the game will witness the final time the newest elite team in the National Basketball Association faces the old one for the last time with superstar Kobe Bryant on the court.
The 37-year-old future Hall of Famer Bryant is going out on a low note, however, as the five-time NBA Championship winner with the Lakers finds himself on a last-place team, with the second-worst record in the NBA this season. The once-mighty Lakers have won only 12 games this season against a mind-numbing 51 losses.
The Warriors, on the other hand, not only come into Los Angeles Sunday afternoon with the best record in the NBA, they are possibly on their way to the best record in the NBA — ever.
With 55 wins against a mere five losses, Golden State has a legitimate shot to top the all-time NBA best record, belonging to the 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls who, led by the legendary Michael Jordan, won 72 games while losing only 10.
Behind 27-year-old Stephen Curry, last season’s MVP and this season’s NBA scoring leader at a stellar 30.7 points per game, Golden State looks to take one step closer to that all-time best record by chalking up another victory against the Lakers, a team they have dominated so far this campaign — winning all three meetings so far by a combined 73 points.
Watch highlights of the latest meeting between Golden State and Los Angeles, on January 14 on the Warriors’ home court of Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, in the video below.

Tip-off at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Pacific Time, 3:30 p.m. Eastern, on Sunday, March 6.

The game could also see Curry make some history of his own. The seventh-year superstar already broke his own record for three-point shots made in a single season this year, bringing his total of 293 into the game. Curry set the NBA record last year with 286 — but with seven more three-pointers, he becomes the first player in NBA history to sink 300 three-point shots in a single season.
And he would still have 21 games left in the season, if he accomplishes the feat on Sunday in Los Angeles.
What are the chances that Stephen Curry converts on seven three-point shots in Sunday’s game against the Lakers? Curry has done it 17 times in his career already, and in the January 14 game against the Lakers, Curry hit eight three-point shots in 16 attempts.
