Priyanka Chopra Success Story From Bollywood To Hollywood

Priyanka Chopra’s journey as a star from Bollywood to the famed portals of Hollywood is nothing short of phenomenal. Now, her success and fame span across two continents and time zones.

The beauty won the coveted Miss World title in 2000, but her rising popularity shows the smart work that shaped her into an international brand in a span of 16 years. Today, she is a sought-after actor in both Bollywood and Hollywood, and her fan base is increasing.

Smart and charming, Priyanka Chopra is a success story in acting and singing, apart from working on humanitarian causes such as child rights and green environment.

NDTV quoted the actress saying, “I don’t come from an affluent background, I don’t come from somewhere where my life was about pubs and discotheques. Despite that, my parents gave me an opportunity to be whoever I wanted to be, they educated me, they gave me values and they gave me a great life by always going out of the way.”

Priyanka Chopra reportedly works 16 hours a day to get recognition and money and has no time to enjoy life.

Reveling at the milestone of reaching 13 million followers on Twitter, Priyanka thanked her fans by posting a short video.

After presenting at the Oscars this year, the actress is shooting the second season of the American TV series Quantico, where she plays the role of Alex Parish.

The second season begins on March 12. The first season of ABC action-thriller series established Priyanka’s credentials as an international star.

Priyanka has also earned a role in upcoming Hollywood film Baywatch, where she plays the baddie alongside actor Dwayne Johnson. The film draws inspiration from the ’90s NBC hit series of the same name, which starred Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff.

“Dwayne, who has wrapped up another schedule of Baywatch in Miami, has called Priyanka one of the biggest and most loved stars in the world,” India Today reported.

Reportedly, the globe-trotting actress is enjoying the celebrity status with packed schedules as she promotes her upcoming Bollywood film Jai Gangaajal and gets ready for the Hollywood stint in Baywatch.

Priyanka Chopra recently appeared with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show on Thursday and participated in a wing-eating contest with Fallon. The seven-minute appearance on the Fallon’s show revealed some interesting aspects of her life.

In an interview with the Times of India on the challenges she faces as an actress transitioning from Bollywood to Hollywood, Priyanka said, “A woman’s superpower is multi-tasking and that makes our breed so infallible. Like all wonderful ladies, I, too, can manage to do a lot of things together because good work comes at a price.”

“It is a great time for any female actor in the entertainment business. Finally, people are willing to watch stories that are good. Today, it is irrelevant whether it is a man or a woman on a movie poster,” she added.

A woman turning into a brand in the international sphere is no small feat. Priyanka Chopra’s popularity narrates the changing landscape of gender dynamics both in India and in a globalized world.

Seemingly, the male-dominated discourse is changing. Her success is a telling commentary about women who seize opportunities and work smart to shine in the competitive entertainment business.

Priyanka Chopra’s journey from a nondescript Indian city to Hollywood testifies the promising future for Indian girls, should they find access to such opportunities.
