‘Fuller House’ Season 2 Spoilers: Will Mary-Kate And Ashley Olsen Return?
It was just announced that Fuller House will have a second season. Now fans just want to know if Michelle Tanner will actually return to the show considering that she wasn’t on season 1 at all. The first season didn’t have Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen on it, but the cast did mention them a few times, and now fans are hopeful that they will return for season 2. In Touch Weekly shared that John Stamos is now hinting that there is a chance that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen could show up in season 2 of Fuller House.
When John Stamos went on the Today show, he explained that they are more than welcome to come on the show if they want to do it. He is leaving it totally up to the girls. Stamos actually hinted that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen could return.
“They’re totally welcome. I was going to see Ashley last night and beg her to be on the show. We would love to have them. I know everyone would love to see them. I have a good feeling about it.”
When it came to season 1 of Fuller House, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen turned down the show. They said that the timing was bad, and they were not able to do it. Right now Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are working as fashion designers in New York City and aren’t into acting at all. The show’s creator Jeff Franklin shared that it was disappointing that the Olsen’s twins were not involved.
“That was a giant bummer, but their participation was never a precondition for doing that show. I hoped that they would come back and do one episode, but I didn’t think that they were going to be regulars.”
If the Olsen twins were to show up as Michelle Tanner in season 2, it does sound like it would probably just be Mary-Kate Olsen instead of both of them. They actually only need one of the girls to play the part. It would probably just be a small part, and there is no reason for them to switch back and forth like they did when they were younger. Bob Saget recently shared that he had talked to Mary-Kate Olsen and what she had to say.
“Mary-Kate said, ‘It would have to be me [playing Michelle], because Ash doesn’t want to do it. But the timing is so bad for us.”
Romper shared that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were not on season 1 and revealed a few reasons. The girls do not act at all anymore. Ashley Olsen shared that she hasn’t been in front of a camera since she was 17 years old. This is just not the career path that the girls have followed, but that doesn’t mean that they could not be convinced to come on for at least one episode. Bob Saget shared that he is still close with the girls and that it would be fun if they come back for at least one episode. You just never know what will end up happening next season, but the door is open for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen if they want the job.
