Mary Lou Bruner: Texas State Board Of Education Candidate Claims Obama Was A ‘Gay Prostitute’

Mary Lou Bruner, a leading candidate in the Texas State Board of Education race, claims Barack Obama worked as a gay prostitute to get money to buy drugs, and feels Islam should be banned from the United States.

The 68-year-old retired school teacher won 48 percent of the vote in the Republican primary race on Super Tuesday. If Mary Lou Bruner had earned just one more percentage point, she would have avoided a runoff race for the Texas State School Board seat.

According to a Gawker report, Bruner is the favorite in the state board of education race. The GOP candidate has been lambasted for her controversial Facebook posts, but appears to be standing behind all of her statements about Obama, religion, homosexuality, and the root cause of mass shootings.

A Facebook comment, which was shared on October 26, 2015, but has since been deleted, discussed President Obama and his sexuality. The Texas State School Board candidate is opposed to the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage.

Here’s an excerpt from the Facebook post attributed to Mary Lou Bruner, as shared by the Daily Mail.

“Obama has a soft spot for homosexuals because of the years he spent as a male prostitute in his twenties. That is how he paid for his drugs. He has admitted he was addicted to drugs when he was young, and he is sympathetic with homosexuals; but he hasn’t come out of the closet about his own homosexual/bisexual background. He hasn’t quite evolved that much! Since he supports gay marriage, he should be proud of his background as a homosexual/bisexual. He is against everything else Christians stand for, he might as well be for infidelity.”

Bruner also allegedly stated that all Muslims should be banned from America because the ultimate goal of followers is to “conquer the USA and kill the infidels.”

According to Bruner’s social media posts, before the theory of evolution was promoted in public schools and prayer was banned, school shootings were an extremely rare occurrence.

On January 30, the retired Texas school teacher reportedly authored this Facebook post.

“The school shootings started after government removed the Ten Commandments and the Bible from public school buildings, and disallowed prayer at school and school events. The school shootings started after the schools started teaching evolution is an absolute fact and the classes cannot talk about weaknesses in the Theory of Evolution.”

If elected to the state board of education, one of Bruner’s duties will be helping to craft the curriculum public schools will teach and selecting the textbooks that will be used in class.

In the recent primary race, Mary Lou Bruner soundly beat competitor Dr. Keven Ellis. The school board president and chiropractor earned just 31 percent of the vote. Ellis, Bruner, and a third candidate who is a friend of the school teacher, Hank Hering, must now compete against each other once again in a second round of voting before moving on to face Democrat Amanda Rudolph, who ran unopposed in her primary.

2016 definitely appears to be the year of the outsider, for both Republicans and Democrats. Although Hillary Clinton is leading the Democratic Socialist Bernie Sanders, he has amassed a huge following and continues to fill his campaign coffers with small contributions from individuals donors.

Dr. Ellis was viewed as an “establishment” candidate, according to an election review report in the Texas Tribune. The newspaper also went on to say that Bruner’s bold and outspoken nature has been far more helpful than hindering in her run for the Texas Board of Education.
