‘American Crime Story’ Star Sarah Paulson Says ‘I Am In Love’ With Holland Taylor

It has already become commonly acceptable to see American Horror Story‘s Sarah Paulson in the company of Holland Taylor and fans have known that they are a couple, but now Paulson has made it official. In a recent interview, Sarah Paulson couldn’t help gushing over Taylor, publicly and happily expressing her love for the Two and a Half Men actress.

Sarah Paulson Expresses Her Love For Holland Taylor

Sarah has said in the past that she avoids labels whenever possible and that she has dated men and women with equal passion, but none of that matters any longer. The 41-year-old American Crime Story actress told The New York Times that she was in love with her girlfriend of one year, 73-year-old Holland Taylor.

“If my life choices had to be predicated based on what was expected of me from a community on either side, that’s going to make me feel really straitjacketed, and I don’t want to feel that,” Paulson said. “What I can say absolutely is that I am in love, and that person happens to be Holland Taylor.”

Sarah recalled seeing Holland for the first time, almost ten years earlier. She said she was instantly struck by Taylor’s exquisite beauty.

The pair connected almost as soon as they met, meeting socially amidst a flurry of social media gossip and speculation, though Paulson says she never quite understood why their pairing created such a stir. She says her choices in dating have never been conventional.

As so many celebrities come out with their partners in our current society, it has already become socially acceptable to a degree. Yes, there is still bigotry and homophobia to be overcome and equal rights are not yet what they should be, but, overall, gay relationships are generally accepted. It could be argued that, even as we become more enlightened toward LGBT relationships, the age barrier is still very taboo. Oftentimes, more concern is raised over an age difference than their gender identities. It may be that Paulson and Taylor have experienced ageism-based bigotry more than homophobia, and that may be why the media is so intrigued by the love affair of Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor.

Sarah Paulson Meets Marcia Clark: “The Whole Thing Had This Date Quality”

When Sarah Paulson takes on a role, she does her research and that’s especially true of a character based on a historical figure like Marcia Clark. Even before meeting the O.J. Simpson prosecutor, Sarah had researched Clark’s style, mannerisms, and personality. She even knew the perfume worn by Marcia.

The American Crime Story actress recalls that the sun hit Clark in such a way that she couldn’t see her face as she arrived for their luncheon, but Paulson said she could tell by the woman’s mannerisms that it was her guest arriving. The lunch date was a success and better. The two ladies enjoyed one another’s company so much that they closed the cafe.

Sarah says that she feels she developed a deep kinship with Marcia Clark, as they enjoyed Tequila with their lunch.

Paulson adds that she feels Clark was unfairly and harshly judged in the media for her appearance.

“That’s the first thing people say when they hear ‘Marcia Clark,'” Paulson said. “They don’t even think ‘lawyer.’ They just think ‘hair.'”

Next week’s episode of American Crime Story focuses on Marcia Clark’s mid-trial makeover and how the media persecuted her even more for trying to appease them.

Paulson says she understands what Clark went through with so much public criticism.

“Every time that you go anywhere on the red carpet, now there are websites dedicated to picking you apart, like Tom and Lorenzo or whoever those guys are,” she said. “And they are so mean.”
