Sheree Whitfield Faces Mold Issues With Chateau Sheree: ‘RHOA’ Star Not Paying Up?

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Sheree Whitfield has been building her massive home for over five years, and her neighbors are getting tired of looking at a construction site. Sheree ran into some problems when she was building her home, because she lacked the funds to finish the massive home. But based on various reports, it sounds like Whitfield has run into another problem — a costly one that could pose a huge threat to the due date of her home.

According to a new Radar Online report, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Sheree Whitfield hasn’t said much about this problem, but she has been dealing with mold. One of her contractors, Stoploss Specialists Inc., has filed a petition against her in court for bills that she hasn’t paid. Of course, Whitfield has revealed that she ran into problems with the funds for the home, but it is possible that these contractors don’t care about her personal money problem. Sheree had hired this team to supply equipment, labor, and other materials for the improvement of the home.

In other words, Whitfield had hired them to handle a mold problem that had started in the home’s basement. In the papers, a proposal reveals that the contractors were to “remove visible mold from basement drywall.” It is possible that the mold has grown, as the home has been so exposed to the natural elements, including rain, over the past few years.

Since Real Housewives of Atlanta star Sheree Whitfield has worked so hard on getting this home done, she hired them to do extra work to ensure the work was complete and the mold was removed. She asked them to HEPA-vacuum the wall areas, treat the drywall with anti-microbial, and remove “non-cleanable drywall.”

The papers said that “air scrubbers and dehumidifiers will be used in the remediation process,” and “dehumidifiers will left in for a week after the job is complete.”

The company says that Whitfield “failed and refused to pay” the $15,450 she owed after they completed their work. Now, they are demanding that Real Housewives of Atlanta star Sheree Whitfield pay them $22,945.68, which included late fees and other charges on top of her outstanding bill. Apparently, this case is still very much open in the Fulton County GA court system. This is yet another financial problem she has faced during the construction of this home. Whitfield has yet to say anything about this particular problem, but she has admitted to having problems with the home, including the lack of money to finish the home.

“As a woman who took on an enormous project with my family and clearly got in way over my head, I would have thought that this is the one thing that we would have in common as two women delving into major construction projects and that we could possibly learn from our mistakes, help support and guide each other, and share our hiccups and mishaps so the other could possibly avoid them. What was I thinking about with this one? Silly me!” Sheree Whitfield revealed in her first blog back on The Real Housewives of Atlanta this season.

She wanted to tell people in her own words why the home isn’t completely. Whitfield admits that she got in over her head. She started building the home with the money she got from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but when she was fired after a few seasons, she was left with few funds to actually complete the home. Since the home isn’t done yet, some people speculate that she’s back on the show to get the home done.

What do you think of The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Sheree Whitfield having mold problems with the home? Do you think she will ever be able to finish the home, or do you think she will end up selling it?
