‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 22 Cast Update: Mischa Barton, Von Miller, And Donald Trump’s Ex

The Dancing with the Stars Season 22 cast officially has a connection to Donald Trump in his ex-wife, Marla Maples, and she’s not the only star who might use the ABC reality competition to breathe new life into her acting career — The O.C. actress Mischa Barton is also joining DWTS. The ladies will have their work cut out for them as they compete against not one, but two NFL stars—Von Miller and Antonio Brown will try to make it far on Dancing with the Stars using their football fanbases.

Donald Trump’s presidential campaign is a “YUUUGGE!” story, so his second ex-wife was definitely a big get for Dancing with the Stars. Marla Maples was married to the Donald from 1993 to 1999, and they had one child together: now-22-year-old Tiffany Trump. PureDWTS reports that 52-year-old Marla and 42-year-old Dancing with the Stars pro Tony Dovolani have known each other for a very long time, and he’s been trying to convince her to join the show for years. According to In Touch Weekly, a source close to Marla claimed that she was supposed to compete on Season 6 of Dancing with the Stars in 2008, but that never happened. Tony will reportedly be her partner for Season 22.

According to Inside Edition, Marla Maples once made the shocking confession that coitus with Donald Trump was “the best sex I’ve ever had.” In addition to being an ex-Mrs. Trump, Marla Maples is known for an acting career that includes small roles in Executive Decision and Happiness. She also has another link to ABC besides her friendship with Tony Dovolani—according to People, she started dating The Bachelor star Andy Baldwin in 2008.

“She has the mind, body and energy of a 25-year-old,” Baldwin said.

Entertainment Tonight reports that 30-year-old actress Mischa Barton will also be joining the Season 22 cast of Dancing with the Stars. She’s best-known for her role on the hit series The O.C., but her career first took off when she scored a role as a sick ghost child in The Sixth Sense. According to Moviepilot, Mischa Barton has returned to her horror roots in recent years, but she’s no longer starring in future classics alongside Hollywood heavyweights like Bruce Willis — now she’s making a living off of low-budget horror flicks.

Dancing with the Stars might help Mischa get back on everyone’s radar, and who knows? Maybe fellow former child star Jodie Sweetin could help her score a part on the next season of Fuller House. It was recently announced on Good Morning America that Jodie would also be competing on Season 22 of Dancing with the Stars and that her partner would be Keo Motsepe.

According to PureDWTS, Mischa Barton’s partner will be Artem Chigvintsev. Artem last competed during Season 20 of the Dancing with the Stars, and he and partner Patti LaBelle finished in eighth place. He’s only competed on the show twice, finishing in sixth place with Back to the Future actress Lea Thompson during Season 19.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Mark Ballas will be partnered with Paige VanZant during Season 22 of DWTS, and the MMA fighter has past dance experience that could give her and Mark an edge over the competition. However, Paige isn’t the only athlete that can move and groove—Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is ready to charm the Dancing with the Stars audience by breaking out his “Benny Biggle Wiggle” dance. He’ll be partnered with Season 21 runner-up Sharna Burgess.

NFL fans will actually have two footballs stars to choose from during Season 22—Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller is reportedly the partner of Season 19 winner Witney Carson. Von Miller was named the Super Bowl MVP this year, but he told The Late Late Show host James Corden that he didn’t care about taking home the title—he was only thinking about what dance moves he could bust out to celebrate his team’s Super Bowl win. You can watch Von Miller showing off his incredible hip action below.

Many Dancing with the Stars fans assumed that Val Chmerkovskiy would be partnered up with Jodie Sweetin after he guest-starred alongside the bubbly blonde on Fuller House, but E! News reports that his Dancing with the Stars partner will be another very likable lady: Good Morning America chief meteorologist Ginger Zee. The weather woman proved that she’s a force of nature to be reckoned with in 2014 when she performed a choreographed routine with Derek Hough, and Dancing with the Stars fans can only hope that Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy perform to “It’s Raining Men” at some point during Season 22.

The Dancing with the Stars cast will also include deaf American’s Next Top Model winner Nyle DiMarco, whose partner is Peta Murgatroyd, and The Facts of Life star Kim Fields. There’s no word on who Kim’s partner will be yet.

The rest of the Dancing with the Stars Season 22 cast will be announced March 8 on Good Morning America, and DWTS will premiere March 21 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Is there a celebrity above that you’re rooting for already?
