Is Teresa Giudice Demanding Her Own ‘RHONJ’ Spinoff?

Teresa Giudice will be featured as one of the full-time housewives on The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s upcoming seventh season, but according to a new report, that may not be enough for the reality star and mother of four.

As Teresa Giudice prepares to say goodbye to husband Joe, who enters a 41-month prison term on Friday, March 4, she has reportedly been making attempts to score an additional deal with Bravo, which will garner her a new spinoff series.

According to a March 2 report by Gossip Cop, the latest issue of OK! Magazine claims Teresa Giudice is “flexing her toned-in-prison muscles with Bravo,” and “telling the network that if they want her to continue with The Real Housewives of New Jersey, they need to bankroll a series that’s all about her as well!”

Teresa Giudice has been starring on The Real Housewives of New Jersey since Season 1, and some might say she’s the star of the show, but unlike stars before her, including Nene Leakes, Kim Zolciak, and Caroline Manzo, she has yet to star in a spinoff series with the network — and she is reportedly not happy about it.

“[Teresa Giudice] resents that someone like Caroline Manzo has her own show and she doesn’t,” the insider said, via Gossip Cop.

As for what Teresa Giudice would possibly be doing, a source claimed, “she wants to do some kind of cooking series.”

According to the magazine, “when [Teresa Giudice] saw the way the network hyped her recent one-on-one interview with Andy Cohen, she knew she had some leverage. She’ll end up with two paychecks from Bravo for sure.”

Despite the report, and the past history of Real Housewives spinoffs, a source told Gossip Cop that the show simply is “not happening.”

“There’s nothing to this report,” the source added.

After Teresa Giudice was sentenced to serve a 15-month prison term in October 2014, production on The Real Housewives of New Jersey was halted, and as she remained behind bars, not much, if anything was shot for the show. Then, in December 2015, after her release from the Federal Correctional Facility in Danbury, Connecticut, Teresa Giudice rejoined her co-stars, including Melissa Gorga and Jacqueline Laurita, and began filming for the upcoming seventh season. Although a number of other wives are expected to join the three ladies, Bravo has not yet revealed who those women will be.

In the past, Teresa Giudice has been on the outs with her co-stars, but after spending time in prison (just under one year), she appears to have a new lease on life, and is putting her family, including Gorga, first. Just last month, after years of tension, Teresa Giudice reunited with her sister-in-law in New York City for fashion week, and the two women were photographed with their children during their time at the events.

Now that Teresa Giudice’s sentence is complete, she has returned to her children, but will soon part ways with their father, Joe. Also during Teresa Giudice’s October 2014 hearing, her husband received a 41-month prison term, and is also in jeopardy of being deported after his term is complete due to the fact that he is not a citizen of the United States.

Teresa Giudice will return to Bravo later this year for The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 7. A premiere date for the upcoming season has not yet been announced.
