Amber Portwood And Matt Baier Confront Gary Shirley On ‘Teen Mom OG’ Reunion
Amber Portwood is going to be put in quite the position when the second part of the Teen Mom OG finale airs on Monday. She has been under a lot of scrutiny over her soon-to-be husband, Matt Baier. There are some very shady things being revealed from his past, and Portwood doesn’t seem to be the least bit bothered. The couple made headlines when Gary Shirley brought papers out in front of the Teen Mom OG cameras, revealing that Baier had several more children than he initially claimed. Portwood denied the allegations in front of the camera, but was definitely upset with Baier when they arrived home.
Fans have been anticipating Amber Portwood’s segment on the Teen Mom OG finale. So many questions have come up since the show began airing in January, and there have been many more secrets revealed since the reunion was taped several weeks ago. According to Radar Online, Amber Portwood and Matt Baier are going to hear just what Gary Shirley has to say about the scandal. While many have criticized Portwood and Shirley in the past for their lack of communication and violent tendencies, they both clearly love their daughter. Shirley is concerned about putting Leah in Baier’s life. If he is anything like the reports claim, would Portwood allow Baier to remain in her daughter’s life? The manner used to present Portwood with the papers in front of the Teen Mom OG cameras wasn’t the best, but it was the only thing Shirley thought would get Portwood’s attention.
As of now, Amber Portwood is still going ahead with marrying Matt Baier in October. She has been incredibly quick to defend him to anyone who will listen. In fact, she has been shown numerous red flags and has chosen to ignore them. Baier initially tried to attract the attention of Farrah Abraham and Jenelle Evans before approaching Portwood. While this has been pointed out numerous times by fans and others, she doesn’t seem to be phased by it. Baier is different now, according to Portwood.
It appears that both Amber Portwood and Matt Baier are painting Gary Shirley out to be the bad guy regarding the children scandal. While he could have chosen a less public route, Shirley insists he approached the topic because of Leah’s interests. According to Wetpaint, Amber Portwood and Matt Baier will be discussing this very topic with Dr. Drew during the Teen Mom OG finale special. Baier claims that Shirley did it with ill intentions only. In fact, he goes on to explain that he was hurt by the papers because it was a shameful time in his life. Both Portwood and Baier have worked through the past issues, and they want to move forward without any more outside influences.
The next several months will be telling for Amber Portwood and Matt Baier. Since the Teen Mom OG reunion show was taped, several more startling details from his past have been released. The latest discussion is about sexual assault and a restraining order. In fact, Baier denies all of those accusations, but the woman who filed the paperwork committed suicide just months later. Portwood isn’t evaluating everything with her mind, but is instead using her heart. Fans are concerned for the young mom, but any criticism is taken personally by Portwood. The cameras are done rolling, and now the two have to move forward and plan their October wedding. Amber Portwood is confident she knows everything about Matt Baier, and she is going to marry him this fall with or without the support of her family and friends.
