‘The Bachelor’ 2016 Spoilers: Lauren May Have Returned Engagement Ring, Called Off Wedding Over Ben’s Feelings For JoJo
The Bachelor spoilers are pointing to what could be a big reversal for Ben Higgins, with reports indicating that his pick to receive the final rose may end up changing her mind.

For weeks, it has been widely reported that Ben would whittle down the field to just Lauren Bushnell and JoJo Fletcher, a prediction that came true on Monday’s next-to-last episode of the reality show. But the next prediction — that Ben will ultimately choose Lauren — could now be in question.
Ben has made it clear this season that he has very strong feelings for both finalists. He had already generated headlines for breaking what was called an “unwritten rule” on the show by telling one of the women that he loved her, and he actually did it for more than one woman.

Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss shared another Bachelor 2016 spoiler with E! News, saying last week that Ben Higgins seemed a magnet for the women on the show this year more than any other contestant before him.
“What happened on this season is he’s such a catch that the girls competed harder for him than any other season,” he said. “I think eight or nine girls said they were in love with him. That’s a record number. That’s where the drama came from. The girls provided the drama this season because they were competing for him. A lot of girls want to marry this guy.”
There was another hint at post-finale turmoil from former Bachelor Sean Lowe, who seemed to offer a warning to Ben about how difficult it is to juggle feelings for multiple women.
“The Bachelor does an incredible job of building storybook romances for both the TV audience and the bachelor himself, but there is a major disconnect that happens once the show is finished airing,” Lowe wrote on Patheos. “After months of building one man up as the perfect guy (or the perfect Ben), after newfound fame, after winning the adoration of millions of girls watching at home on TV, after dating twenty-five women simultaneously (all of whom will stop at nothing to win your affection), after having genuine heart-felt feelings for multiple women… it all suddenly stops.”
Some believe that all of these Bachelor 2016 spoilers are leading up to the revelation that Lauren and Ben are calling it quits — or may have already done so — over Ben’s lingering feelings for JoJo.
“At this point it would be a miracle if there was even a wedding,” reported Celeb Dirty Laundry, adding that Lauren is rumored to have returned her engagement ring to Ben. “Sure, Lauren and Ben make a super cute couple – but sources say that it is becoming increasingly clear that Ben Higgins gave the final rose to the wrong woman, and he can’t let go of Jojo Fletcher.”
The report added that Ben was very reluctant to pick Lauren over JoJo prior to the finale, with promos for next week’s finale showing a bit of the turmoil he went through. It claimed that he even changed his mind three times within the last day before ultimately deciding on Lauren.
If the Bachelor 2016 spoiler is accurate and Ben does end up changing course, it would not be the first time there is some immediate drama after the final rose is given. On Season 13, contestant Jason Mesnick made a similar change, famously dumping Melissa Rycroft in favor of Molly Malaney. It worked out for Rycroft, who later went on to become the Bachelorette, and there are rumors that JoJo may get the same consolation prize. Reality Steve noted that she is among the front-runners to head up the next installation of the ABC show.
