Kim Kardashian Shares Cheesy Video Of Her First Date With Kanye West

Not many celebrity couples can match Kim Kardashian and Kanye West when it comes to extravagance and lavishness. That comes as no surprise given their combined net worth, which adds up to a whopping $240 million. But unbeknownst to many, Kanye and Kim, or “Kimye” if you prefer, have been known to go out on low-key dates every once in a while. Surprisingly, their first ever date is as low-key as a romantic date can get, with Kardashian taking to Instagram to share the video from said date to the delight of fans.

The video shared by Kim Kardashian is proof that even moneyed celebrities enjoy the same things as we normal people do. To call Kanye and Kim’s first date “normal” or “cheesy” would not be an exaggeration, and with that in mind, it’s fair to assume that it is one of the reasons why the couple’s relationship still endures to this day, even with the complications that come with being a part of the Kardashian empire.

In the video, the couple is at FAO Schwarz in New York City, where they are shown playing “Heart and Soul” on the same piano mat used by Tom Hanks in the 1988 movie Big. Kardashian hops from key to key while a smiling Kanye repeatedly steps on one key to complete the music ensemble.

“This video was from when Kanye and I went to FAO Schwarz and played piano together,” Kim told her followers, as previously reported in Complex. “Our friend Joyce Bonelli took the vid. This was actually one of our first dates!”

Insterestingly, Kim Kardashian’s video also discredits the divorce rumors that have been circulating online since Kanye West went on a Twitter rant in the days following the release of his much-awaited and highly-controversial album, The Life of Pablo.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality star reportedly filed a $1 billion divorce from Kanye as advised by her mom, Kris Jenner. A source close to the family said that the Kardashian matriarch was worried that Kanye could ruin the Kardashian brand.

“Kim tried hard to save this marriage, but it’s become unbearable. Kris finally told her that Kanye was ruining their brand and draining their money — and that she should end it as soon as possible. I believe Kim’s already secretly spoken to divorce attorneys,” a source said as reported in The Inquisitr.

Kanye West, who recently declared a debt of $53 million, reportedly was borrowing money from his wife to pay off that debt, and the situation supposedly got so bad that he stole money from her bank account.

“She eventually found out from her accountants, and Kim feels he’s essentially stolen millions from her,” added the source.

If those rumors were indeed true, it looks like the pair have things already settled. People reports that Kim Kardashian took to her personal app to defend her husband, explaining that West’s so-called Twitter meltdown was because of his passion for his art.

Kardashian West, 35, wrote that she is loving “my husband,” hating “that people don’t get that Kanye will stand up against the whole world for his creativity and art,” wearing “Yeezy Season 3 samples I took from the show,” wanting “everyone to be as honest as Kanye,” watching “Kanye shoot his new video” and reading “Kanye’s tweets.”

She’s also listening to his song “I Love Kanye” off The Life of Pablo.

The 15-minute clip, which can be viewed in full on Kim Kardashian’s personal app, is a strong reminder of how much things have changed between West and Kardashian in the last four years. Today, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have two bundles of joy to show for it. Their daughter, North, was born in June 2013. They welcomed their first son, Saint, in December of last year. They got married in May 2014 in a fancy Italian wedding ceremony that reportedly cost $14.7 million, according to Daily Mail.
