Kim Zolciak Announces Adoption: What She’s Doing For Her Family

Kim Zolciak decided to leave The Real Housewives of Atlanta a few years ago, because she wanted to focus on her family and her marriage to Kroy Biermann. The two got their own spin-off show from Bravo called Don’t Be Tardy. The two had four children after meeting, and Zolciak is often talking about how she just wants one more child with Kroy. But for her husband, 6 children is more than enough. He adopted Kim’s two oldest daughters after getting married. But according to a new Instagram post, Kim Zolciak is now revealing that she’s adopting to expand the family. But she isn’t talking about a baby.

“Welcome our new baby Norma Jean. We just had to rescue her. I’m totally in love. Sinatra will have a new BFF #AdoptDontShop #HumaneSociety #Lab,” Kim Zolciak revealed on Instagram, sharing an adorable picture of a little puppy. She later added, “We are so in love with Norma Jean. The Humane Society in Roswell is amazing. I wanted to bring everyone of the dogs home. #AdoptDontShop #LifesBlessings.”

Of course, Zolciak isn’t adopting a baby. She’s more than capable of reproducing, as she’s practically pregnant all the time. When she gave birth to twins, she revealed that she was done with having children. But as the twins were growing up, she was definitely thinking about having just one more child. And now that Kim isn’t on The Real Housewives of Atlanta anymore, she admits that it is less stressful.

“I always wanted to be famous – my whole life,” Kim has revealed, according to Reality Tea, adding, “You can look at the journal I wrote at aged twelve where I said I can’t wait to have my own show by the time I’m 30. I was 29 when I started on Housewives. A lot of people want it but they don’t realize what comes with it. Your whole life is scrutinized.”

“A lot of people think it’s scripted and that the producers kind of orchestrate this stuff, but for me, on Housewives of Atlanta, it is what it is; it was what it was,” Zolciak continues, adding that it was the drama that pushed her over the edge. For Kim, it was “a lot of anger, aggression, violence – stuff that I was never really around – and it does take a toll on you mentally and emotionally. Sheree pulling my wig, wine glasses flying … it was just – insane. I don’t do well around it.”

Of course, when Kim Zolciak was a single mother to two girls, she had plenty of time to film the show. But when she got married, had KJ and was pregnant with Kash, things quickly got to be too much for her. And she explains that the drama was too much on The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion for Season 5.

“When I was pregnant with Kash, there was literally screaming and so much chaos I just thought, ‘I can’t do this anymore.’ I knew that I was done,” Kim Zolciak reveals, according to Reality Tea, adding, “My blood pressure was fine until I started filming that season, then it was through the roof. I had to choose my child over all of this, and I just walked out. I walked away from well over seven-figures.”

It is definitely interesting that Zolciak walked away from well over seven figures to film her very own spin-off show. No word on how much she makes from filming Don’t Be Tardy, but it sounds like Kim is doing just fine. And it sounds like her family is also doing great, especially with the new addition to the family. The dog is truly a perfect addition to the family.
