Cybill Shepherd Is Engaged To Marry A Third Time

Cybill Shepherd is engaged to marry for a third time, according to the New York Daily News.

The 62-year-old actress is set to get hitched to Andrei Nikolajevic, a Serbian psychologist and former jeweler. Andrei’s old career has clearly come in useful, with the News writing of the “gorgeous sparkler set in white gold on [Cybill’s] left hand.”

Cybill Shepherd is currently starring in The Best Man on Broadway, and revealed her secret to the News’ theater critic Joe Dziemianowicz.

Despite the hefty rock on her finger, Shepherd says nobody has actually questioned her new jewelry as of yet. As she said to the News: “It’s not my job to tell them.” She added that the proposal, which occurred in New York just a couple of weeks back, was a welcome old-fashioned gesture: “It was very romantic and on one knee. […] I never thought I’d get married again.”

Cybill Shepherd’s previous marriages both ended in divorce. After an emotional call to her mother in 1978 about a lack of direction in her life, she went home to Memphis and met local auto parts dealer and nightclub entertainer David M. Ford. The couple married and had a daughter Clementine Ford, in 1979, but the marriage ended in divorce in 1982.

In 1987, she became pregnant by chiropractor Bruce Oppenheim and married him. She gave birth to twins Cyrus Zachariah and Molly Ariel Shepherd-Oppenheim during the fourth season of Moonlighting, but again the divorce papers were sadly not far away: the pair went their separate ways in 1990.

22 years later though, Cybill’s engaged again – congrats to the happy couple, and best of luck for the future!
