‘X-Men: Apocalypse’: Olivia Munn At The Rear With Psylocke, And Lana Condor Talks Jubilee

Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse comic book movie is coming soon and Olivia Munn recently gave mutant fans a tease of her backside in the film. From the looks of it, the suit does appear to be tightly fitted, which is typical of a comic book character. Also Lana Condor talks of her character, Jubilee, and her first time experiencing taking on the role.

Some time ago, Munn was with the X-Men: Apocalypse cast on the Conan Show describing the laborious act of getting into her Psylocke costume, according to a report at MTV. It involved two women aids helping her out and a generous amount of lubrication on herself, as well as the latex suit. On Olivia’s first day, she had a wardrobe malfunction.

“The first day I put the latex suit on. I popped the crotch. The latex just broke.”

Anyhow, the following is the end result right: here of the functional Psylocke costume, as re-posted by Comic Book Movie.

X-Men: Apocalypse stars a slew of actors, some new and some returning. It will take place in the 1980s this time around, as opposed to the X-Men: Days of Future Past 1970s adventure. This time they face the deadly and ancient mutant, Apocalypse. He was touted a god back in Egyptian times, and has gone by many names. In comic book lore, he is known as Earth’s first mutant, and the movie trailer mirrors that sentiment.

Also, this wasn’t the first time that Psylocke appeared on the big screen, as she was also briefly in X:Men: The Last Stand and was portrayed by actress Mei Melancon, but it was debatable of whether or not she was playing another character, Kwannon. Either way, Melancon was hopeful, even back then, of the character’s return in a report by Comic Book Movie some time ago.

“Whether I am part of X-Men again or not, I would love to see Psylocke come back. I think she is a great character that has had really interesting reincarnations over the years, many of which would play out great in film. If fans want a character enough I am sure the studio will bring them in at some point.”

Olivia Munn’s X-Men: Apocalypse movie physique is all due in part to her physical training for the role, as being a movie superhero can be quite strenuous as an earthbound actor. To demonstrate her abilities, the sword-wielding Psylocke showed off her prowess in front of Deadpool’s Ryan Reynolds. His choice of weapon was as sharp as a balloon animal.

Next in the X-Men: Apocalypse cast comes the “fresh-faced” Lana Condor, who talks about her Jubilee character in a report by ComicBook. She got the role of the young mutant while she was in high school and said she’s “super new to all of this.” Lana also gave a play-by-play of the events that led to her winning the role up until the point where she was surrounded by her high school classmates who had no idea that she had gotten the acting bug.

“None of my friends really knew that I was trying to act, because it was so new. During school, my agent and manager called me and were like, ‘Are you by yourself?’ I was like, ‘No, I’m in school surrounded by all of my peers. This is the last place I’d be by myself!’ They said, ‘Can you get by yourself?’ So I snuck outside of school and they told me I got it.”

One can indeed feel the positive vibes coming from Condor as she even tweeted about how “pumped” she was about the part and took a screen shot of a publication about her and her new X-Men movie role as Jubilee.

It’s only three months until X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27.
