Leonardo DiCaprio’s Impending Academy Award Win And Alleged New Girlfriend, Roxy Horner
Will Leonardo DiCaprio finally win that Academy Award that he so desperately deserves? It certainly seems like that is the result nearly everyone is predicting, or at least hoping for. But let’s run down the awards that he has won so far.
The Revenant marks the sixth Academy Award nomination for Leo and his performance in the film has already got him several award wins, including a Golden Globe, a Screen Actors Guild Award, as well as a BAFTA Award. The film itself has earned a total of 12 nominations this year. And it looks as if the actor winning the big award is going to have quite an impact on millions of people, including gamblers. The Guardian reports that Leo is the biggest favorite to win in Oscar betting history, with odds of 1/100.
According to a spokesperson from William Hill, the world’s biggest bookmaker, “at 1/66, Helen Mirren (The Queen) was the shortest priced Oscar contender in betting history. Leonardo DiCaprio has now taken the honor and it looks like we will now have a king.”

One other actor in Hollywood insisted that Leo doesn’t need advice on how to handle the big night on Sunday.
“I haven’t talked to him. I don’t think he needs any advice,” Matthew McConaughey told Entertainment Tonight‘s Katie Krause. “He had a wonderful performance, and there’s really nothing he can do now. We’ll see Sunday night.”
“I think his performance has to be seen by hopefully millions of people, and I’m sure they will be emotionally involved and happy about seeing Leo in this calibre,” director Alejandro González Iñárritu said.
Meanwhile, if Leonardo DiCaprio, 41, doesn’t end up winning the Academy Award this Sunday, the actor may have already won the affection of 24-year-old British model, Roxy Horner. According to PageSix, an insider said that, “they were out in London at Chiltern Firehouse on two consecutive nights, and Leo seemed to be paying her a lot of attention.” Horner is quite popular on social media, with over 51,000 followers on Instagram.
Leonardo DiCaprio recently broke up with 26-year-old Kelly Rohrbach, a Sports Illustrated model, in December of 2015, so is Leonardo already involved with another model nearly two months later? Even before this, there were brief rumors that Rihanna and Leo had something going between each other when they were at L’Arc Nightclub in Paris, where the two were rumored to have kissed. But TMZ reports that there was no hot romance boiling in the pictures, and that Rihanna simply gave him a kiss on the cheek. It’s become more and more expected that situations such as these will be completely blown out of proportion. Is the same thing going on with Leonardo DiCaprio and Roxy Horner?
Leo and Roxy reportedly met several years ago in Los Angeles and were recently spotted at London’s Chiltern Firehouse. Apparently they were together on two consecutive nights. It certainly wouldn’t be surprising to discover that Leonardo is dating another model, but Roxy Horner herself has publically denied that there is anything sexual or romantic going on between the two. Horner took to Twitter to respond to the rumors.
“You can’t have a friend in the industry without people assuming it’s more than that.?.?. It’s a joke.”
Horner then confirmed that she and Leo didn’t even go home together.
“FYI we all went our separate ways home, as friends do.”
If Leo were finally able to snag that Oscar this year, would that be enough to convince Horner to date him? It may be a bit shallow, but maybe it will at least catch her attention.
Leonardo DiCaprio’s performance in The Revenant will have to beat out his fellow nominees Eddie Redmayne for The Danish Girl, Matt Damon for The Martian, Bryan Cranston for Trumbo, and Michael Fassbender for Steve Jobs.
