Drake And Skepta Songs? New ‘BBK’ Tattoo Signals Albums To Come [Video]

Drake and Skepta appear to have a new allegiance with each other. Future Drake albums may feature more songs from the U.K. rapper after this epic OVO and BBK move.

Drake and Skepta have increased their friendship and business collaborations over the last year and a half, along with featuring in various songs together. Drake is looking to push pass the boundaries of American and Canadian rap songs. Although they’re quintessential to his success as an artist, future Drake albums will have to bring a little more to the table — in order to keep him at the top his field.

According to Hip Hop Early, Drake promoted a new “BBK” tattoo via his Instagram profile. In the post, it seems that Skepta signed Drake to his “Boy Better Know” label as an artist. The music community is wondering what’s really going on with this BBK connection. In honor of BBK and Skepta, Drizzy says the following.

“The first Canadian signed by BBK. Big up my brudda Skepta for life yeah. And my section gunners too.”

According to XXL Magazine, Drake made his BBK announcement on Wednesday, February 24. The source mentions that Drizzy was in the U.K. performing one of his songs with Rihanna — Drake’s collaboration on “Work.” The performance happened at the 2016 BRIT Awards.

After Drake finished up at the award ceremony, he headed over to East London for a surprise performance with Skepta and his camp as well. Drake began rapping around 03:55 mark, in the following video.

Drake was on stage at Village Underground delivering songs from released albums, accompanied by South London’s Section Boyz. Pitchfork notes Drake’s performance as follows.

“Video begins midway through Skepta’s ‘It Ain’t Safe’. Drake comes in to do ‘Jumpman’ after ‘Shutdown’.”

Drake and Skepta were on stage together during Wireless 2015, as well. The Inquisitr reported that Skepta joined the “Hotline Bling” artist while he was headlining and performed “Shutdown.” It can be seen in the following video.

Likewise, XXL Magazine notes that Drake has played Skepta’s songs during his OVO Sound Radio broadcast in the past. For instance, in Summer 2015, Drake played songs by the aforementioned artists’ albums, as mentioned by Pitchfork.

“Drake played three new remixes during the program, adding verses to Wizkid’s ‘Ojuelegba’, Ramriddlz’s ‘Sweeterman’, and Roy Wood$’s ‘Drama’. Now, you can listen to official audio of his ‘Ojuelegba’ remix, which also features Skepta.”

Nevertheless, while he’s making moves in other parts of the world, the Western hemisphere is assuredly awaiting Drake’s Views from the 6 drop. According to a previous report from Inquisitr, Views could be releasing in April. The source notes that Drizzy possibly alluded to the album’s drop via social media.

Last month, everyone thought that Drake possibly leaked his songs to the internet via an alleged, unpublished list. However, that wasn’t confirmed from OVO Sound or Drizzy, himself. Yet, many are speculating that — of all his albums — this studio release will be his best, to date.

Drake has noted that he’s working with a variety of artists to bring the project together the way he wants to for his listeners. Drizzy doesn’t want it to be a regular album drop. Rather, given all the blood and sweat being poured into the project, he possibly wants it to be epic and memorable.

It’s been delayed for almost a year now. With such a postponement, Drake is probably going for the “under-promise and over-deliver” method. What’s your opinion about Drake’s Views from the 6? Likewise, what’s your stance on his alleged “BBK” tattoo and his decision to join the label? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.
