Bangladesh cricket fans can watch a live stream of the Tigers second match of the 2016 Asia Cup, as they take on a surprising United Arab Emirates squad who came 14 runs short of a shocking upset in their first match against Sri Lanka on Thursday. But Bangaldesh also suffered a disheartening defeat their first time out, falling to India in the Asia Cup opener by 45 runs after a lackluster batting performance left them with their third T20 loss in a row.
The Bangladesh opponent on Friday in the third match of the 11-match Asia Cup, UAE, comes into the match on a hot streak, despite coming up short against Sri Lanka. Prior to that gallant effort, the so-called “minnows” won four straight T20 matches, to emerge from the qualifying round and earn the right to compete with the four major Asian cricket powers.

Bangladesh were actually progressing nicely with the ball until Shakib Hasan dropped Rohit Sharma in the 11th over — allowing Rohit to take advantage and post 83 runs, accounting for exactly half of the India total.
“Part of the game,” Bangladesh Captain Mashrafe Mortaza said. “We can’t really do much about it. A catch can be missed. He is one of our best fielders and I wanted him at point in that over because from the 12th or 13th over in T20s, we usually have most of our better fielders in crucial positions in the deep.”

To find out how to watch a live stream of the Bangladesh vs. United Arab Emirates third Asia Cup match, see the streaming info in the final paragraph of this article. The match is scheduled to get underway at 7:30 India Standard Time at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh, on Friday, February 26.
For cricket fans in the United States, that start time will be 8:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, 5:30 Pacific.
If Bangladesh thought that their match against the qualifying side from UAE would be a walkover, they may have to reconsider. After UAE bowlers held the defending Asia Cup champions Sri Lanka to a shockingly low total of 129, the team from across the Gulf is fired up to get a win against a higher-ranked side in the Asia Cup.
“Today was Sri Lanka. Tomorrow will be Bangladesh and it will be different – but this type of performance will give us confidence for that game,” said Captain Amjad Javed. “When you are restricting a team like Sri Lanka to a score under 130, you want to win that game and create history for your country. It was a really good chance, but we have three more games and, definitely, we can cause an upset.”
A sellout crowd of about 25,000 is expected to cheer on the host country, so whether they can continue to perform under the big spotlight will be a gut-check for UAE.
