Brooklyn Gang Rape A Hoax, ‘Victim’ Confesses To Having Consensual Sex With Teens And Her Own Father

A Brooklyn gang rape “victim” has recanted her allegations against five black teenagers. The unidentified 18-year-old woman now says that she had consensual sex with the five boys — and her own dad.

The five teenagers accused of gang raping the young woman at a Brooklyn park were Denzel Murray, 14, Shaquell Cooper and Ethan Phillip, both 15, Onandi Brown, 17, and Travis Beckford, also 17, according to the Daily Mail.

The woman had initially told police officers that she and her 39-year-old dad were drinking in the park around 9 p.m. on January 7, when the five teenagers approached them. She said the young men attacked her and ordered her father to leave. She said he left, but came back a few minutes later and threw a bottle at the teens.

Brooklyn Prosecuting Attorney Ken Thompson had this to say about the Brooklyn gang rape investigation.

“Working closely with the NYPD, my office has thoroughly investigated disturbing and very serious allegations of a gang rape at gunpoint last month inside the Osborn Playground in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn.”

Thompson also stated that the Brooklyn gang rape complaining witness, and her father, gave “multiple inconsistent accounts” to the Special Victims NYPD detectives who were investigating the alleged crime.

The woman who claimed that she was gang raped at the Brooklyn park now says that none of the teenager had a gun and said that she does not want to press charges against any of the young men who were arrested. Some are calling for the woman’s name to be revealed, since she is no longer considered to be a rape victim. She could possibly be charged with filing a false police report.

The young woman, an adult in the eyes of the law, has refused to work with the police investigating the sexual conduct that allegedly occurred between her and her father.

“That night, this young woman’s father and the five young men engaged in conduct that was reprehensible and wrong, but because of the lack of reliable evidence, criminal charges simply cannot be sustained,” the Brooklyn prosecutor added.

The prosecutor said that he hopes the unidentified woman is able to get the support she nears now. He said that victim advocates are currently working with her to determine what type of assistance she needs. The teenagers accused of rape were each going to be charged as adults, even though they were minors. All of the young men faced a single count of rape, one count of sex abuse, and two counts of committing a criminal sex act.

Brooklyn Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said at the time his officers interviewed her at the park, she offered a credible accounting of what had happened. Boyce said the woman was clearly “traumatized” and had physical injuries.

The teenage girl said that her dad left to look for help but when he went into a store to use a phone to call the police the staff at the business refused to allow his to make the call. The father said that he ran until he found police officers in a cruiser and told them he was afraid his daughter was about to be killed.

Chief Boyce said the father was “hysterical” and told them the attacking teenagers had pointed a gun to his head.

A New York Post report stated that the woman was combative with the police when they arrived and tried to run away. Her clothing was found thrown about the area of the park where the alleged gang rape had occurred. The woman allegedly bit a police officer and refused to seek medical treatment, but was ultimately taken to the hospital.

At least two of the teen boys told police officers that they believed they were having consensual sex with the girl when they were interviewed after their respective arrests. The teens also claimed that the girl and her father were having sex at the park when they saw them and that the man just staggered away and left them there with the girl.

“Can we have some of that?” one of the teens said they asked the woman’s dad. The father denies any incest ever occurred. He said they teens are merely trying to get cheat justice and he hopes they all “rot in jail.”
