Trevor Lawler: Rapist Allegedly Shouted ‘This Is What Your Mother Deserves’ At Victim’s Infant Son
A British rapist allegedly yelled “This is what your f*****g mother deserves” at his victim’s 1-year-old son while raping her, The Daily Mail is reporting.
Trevor Lawler, 32, was jailed for six years in Ireland in 2004 for raping a woman. But he still managed to slip into Manchester in North Western England and rape another woman, 24, in front of her 1-year-old son. Lawler had attempted to rape another woman a few hours earlier. That would-be victim was in bed with her 7-year-old son at the time.

The woman, 33, woke up at 4:40 a.m. to find Lawler straddling her. Her son was crying, at which point Lawler threatened to “slit her throat if she did not shut him up.” In his attempt to rape her, the woman’s boyfriend unexpectedly came home and Lawler fled the house in his underwear and a t-shirt.
He escaped to nearby house, bluffing his way into the female occupant’s home claiming that he been attacked by would-be kidnappers, but managed to get away. The woman offered to go upstairs and get him a change of clothes.
As she made her way upstairs with her baby, Lawler viciously attacked her, punching her repeatedly in the head even with a 12-month old baby in her hands. Lawler raped the young mother, shouting chilling words to her one-year-old son as he did.
“This is all your mother is worth…this is what she f***ing deserves.”
The victim believed Lawler would kill her and feigned unconsciousness after the heinous act. During this time, the rapist tried to attend to the wailing baby with hands that were bloodied from beating up his mother. With Lawler gone, she managed to make it to a neighbor’s house. The neighbor could not recognize her because of the battering she had suffered.
His rape victim suffered a number of severe injuries, including a 4.5 cm cut to the face that has left a permanent scar, a broken nose and swelling to the lips, eyes, arms, hips and legs.
“Due to the injuries I could not see my son for 3 days. I still see my baby’s face watching Lawler attack me and I will never forget how he looked as he watched right next to me.”
Lawler was jailed for life and ordered to serve a minimum of 10 years before being considered for parole. Judge Hilary Manley said “I am convinced you have a hatred for women and a need to use, degrade and humiliate them. Put simply, I am wholly satisfied you pose a dangerous and substantial risk to the public, particularly women and children.”
Lawler’s defense attorney, Hunter Gray, said his client had a history of heroin use and alcohol dependency. He also said Lawler had been abused as a young child and his crimes had emanated from grief issues caused by the death of his girlfriend during childbirth. “He wants to change. He knows his behavior is wrong and wants to access any support he can get so no female in future is subjected to this sort of conduct again” Gray said.
