If Robert Kardashian were still alive, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians clan would have celebrated his 72nd birthday Monday. Although 12 years have passed since Rob and the Kardashian sisters’ father died, Robert still influences their lives, reported E! News.
Turning to Instagram to remember Robert, Kourtney Kardashian expressed her love.
“Happy birthday to my favorite man in the world who taught me everything. I know you are with me but I wish I could hug you. I love you Daddy,” wrote Kardashian.
Khloe celebrated Robert Kardashian’s birthday by posting a loving video showing him chatting with her when she was young, as well as a photo of when she was just a toddler.
“To be best man I’ve ever known, happy birthday daddy,” posted Khloe. “I miss you! I miss you! I miss you! Man… I wish we had more pictures together.”
Kris Jenner and Robert stayed in touch even though they were divorced. Honoring Kardashian, Kris re-posted the video showing Khloe with Robert, using hashtags that showed just how special those memories of the Kardashian patriarch remain.
“#love #family and #memories,” wrote Jenner along with the video of Robert.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kim Kardashian chose her father’s birthday as the perfect occasion to post the long-awaited photo of her son, Saint West.
“Today is my dad’s birthday. I know there’s nothing more in the world he would have wanted than to meet his grandchildren. So I wanted to share this pic of Saint with you all,” the KUWTK star wrote.
In addition to honoring Robert in that special way, Kardashian posted a photo of her father on Instagram.
“Happy Birthday dad! So much has gone on in our lives since you’ve been gone, and I know you have been my guardian angel seeing it all unfold! I love you and miss you so much!” wrote the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star in a touching tribute to Robert.
Chiming in were Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner to share their love for Robert. Kendall shared a precious picture in which she joined Kylie to show how close they were to Robert as well.
“Happy birthday,” wrote Kendall. “We miss you.”
And Kylie chose a different angle by bringing her brother Rob Kardashian into the memorials for Robert.
“Rob is a spitting image of his dad,” wrote Kylie. “I love this pic… Happy Birthday Robert.”
But, where was Rob amid all those loving tributes to his father Robert Kardashian? Rob has made it clear that he’s focusing on changing his lifestyle with the guidance of his girlfriend Blac Chyna, reports the New York Daily News.
Chyna has influenced Kardashian to head to the gym and use a personal trainer. Eliminating both carbohydrates and red meat from his diet, Rob has lost about 40 pounds. It’s a dramatic shift since Kardashian learned he had diabetes just last year.
Rob’s family had worried about his 100-pound weight gain and depression, and before Chyna entered his life, he retreated to Khloe’s home to hide out. Since dating Chyna, however, Kardashian has been spotted going to the gym and sporting a new and improved positive outlook on life.
A source told People that Kardashian has made it clear just how much better he feels.
“Rob has fallen hard for Blac Chyna. She makes him super happy and this is the first time that he’s felt so optimistic about life in years. For the first time in forever, Rob seems very excited about the future.”
