‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Ben Escapes From Mental Hospital

Days of Our Lives spoilers for upcoming episodes reveal that Chad and Abigail’s lives are about to get much more dramatic. The couple that viewers like to call “Chabby” will have to deal with Abigail’s crazy ex-fiancé, Ben Weston, as he’ll be rolling back into Salem very soon.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Chad will be shocked when he eventually gets the news that Ben Weston has escaped the from mental hospital he’s been held in ever since kidnapping Abigail and admitting to killing four people.

As Days of Our Lives fans know, Ben Weston was the necktie killer stalking Salem citizens for months. During his wrath, Ben killed Eric Brady’s girlfriend, Serena Mason, JJ Deveraux’s girlfriend, Paige Larsen, and even beloved character Will Horton. After taking his pregnant fiancée, Abigail Deveraux, hostage and sending her into preterm labor, Ben found a midwife to help deliver Abby’s son, which he later shot and killed, as well.

When Days of Our Lives viewers last saw Ben, he had been arrested and taken into custody by the Salem Police Department. However, Ben had gone completely off the deep end. He was ranting and raving like a madman and even seemingly reverted to a state of being a child and was worried his father, Clyde Weston, who is also jailed, would punish him for causing trouble.

Abigail was totally shocked that she hadn’t been able to realize her own fiancé was a serial killer. However, she had other big things on her plate. Abby soon realized that her son, Thomas, whom she named for her great-grandfather, Tom Horton, was actually fathered by her ex-boyfriend, Chad DiMera, and wasn’t Ben’s baby at all. Days of Our Lives fans rejoiced when Abigail and Chad soon got back together, and are currently trying to live happily ever after.

Unfortunately, their fairytale ending may have one big problem, and that is Ben. The crazed killer is expected to make his return to Days of Our Lives next week sometime, but not a lot of details have been giving about the story line. Some Days of Our Lives fans think it could be a dream that Ben appears in, or that he may actually escape from the mental hospital and come after Abigail and Thomas, whom he likely still believes to be his own son.

Meanwhile in Salem, other Days of Our Lives characters are also dealing with some very serious issues. Ciara Brady, who was raped by her step-brother, Chase Jennings, will lash out after her horrific ordeal and even turn to alcohol. Spoilers suggest that Ciara will start drinking and that she’ll even take out her pain and suffering on Theo, her best friend and the boy who is totally head over heels in love with her. Will Ciara ever tell her mother, Hope, what has happened to her so that they can get her the appropriate help, or will she hide away her dark secret and continue to lash out at those around her?

Jennifer and Eric will also be going through a hard time this week. As Days of Our Lives viewers know, Eric will likely be doing jail time for the drunk driving accident he caused, which took Dr. Daniel Jonas’ life. Eric is a complete alcoholic and has refused to get help up til now. He’s currently leaning on Jennifer, who also is dealing with substance abuse issues after becoming addicted to pain killers as a result of that same New Year’s Eve crash. Can these two get clean and sober, or will they be doomed to keep repeating their mistakes?
