?Ne-Yo And Crystal Renay Are Now Married, Expecting Their First Child Together

R&B artist Ne-Yo has just married his fiancée, model Crystal Renay, on Saturday, February 20 in California, reports The Huffington Post. The now-married couple tied the knot at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes among their friends and family in a very romantic ceremony. Nearly 150 guests were in attendance, according to NY Daily News, on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

“This is big for me. I’m not doing this again, so I’m happy that my family and friends are able to be there to share this moment with us,” Ne-Yo exclusively told People. “We’re human being, so we’re gonna bump heads on different things, but we’ve agreed that this is gonna be a marriage that lasts.”

The couple is also expecting, having shared an Instagram photo of Ne-Yo, 36, placing his head against Crystal’s pregnant belly. “The amount of love I have for you and our son is insurmountable and I am going to spend the rest of my life showing you that love,” Crystal Renay wrote in the caption.

Ne-Yo and Crystal Renay first met in 2015, when the R&B singer was inquiring about a possible collaboration for his album Non-Fiction. It seemed that the two had a spark between each other from the very beginning, and the singer knew this woman was different and special to him. Ne-Yo confirmed their engagement last year in August on Twitter.

“When I went to my first fitting, I had actually just found out the day before that I was pregnant, so from the beginning of the whole dress process, we knew that it would be a growing belly,” Renay told People. “I’m gonna be honest: I’m nine months pregnant – I’m nervous about falling on my face!”

Ne-Yo, whose real name is Shaffer Chimere Smith, agreed with Crystal’s concern, worried about her water possibly breaking as she walked down the aisle. The couple have confirmed that they are having a son, and this will be their first child together and Ne-Yo’s second son. Ne-Yo is already a father to two children from a previous relationship with his 5-year-old daughter Madilyn Grace and his 4-year-old son Mason Evan. Crystal doesn’t seem to have any problem expressing her love for both Mason and Madilyn, and seems very proud to be a stepmom.

Ne-Yo’s ex-girlfriend, Monyetta Shaw, appeared on VH1’s Hollywood Exes in 2015 and revealed that she had her tubes tied while she was with Ne-Yo to prevent the couple from having any more children. The “One in a Million” singer took to Twitter to say that it was a mutual decision, shooting down any rumors suggesting that he forced her to get her tubes tied.

“Clearing the air..I didn’t force Mo to tie her tubes. Mutual decision. And the procedure is reversible. #SheCanHaveKids #FromTheHorsesMouth,” Ne-Yo tweeted.

After Ne-Yo and Crystal Renay exchanged their vows, guests were treated to a cocktail reception and then dinner and dancing.

“They stood under a big wooden altar that was draped with white curtains and flowers,” a source told Us Weekly. “At the end of the ceremony, Ne-Yo and Crystal held hands and raised their arms into the air as all the guests screamed and cheered. They looked so happy and in love.”

Ne-Yo currently has six albums in his discography, his first being 2006’s In My Own Words, and his most recent being 2015’s Non-Fiction. His most commercially successful album, 2008’s Year of the Gentleman, was certified platinum in the U.S. The album’s first single, “Closer,” became Ne-Yo’s second number-one single in the U.K. and it peaked at number seven in the U.S. charts.
