Amy Lindsay: Porn Star In Ted Cruz Ad Endorses Trump For Erotic Movie Co-Star

Actress Amy Lindsay hasn’t endorsed any candidate for president, but she reportedly thinks Donald Trump could be a compelling co-star in an adult film.

As widely reported, the Ted Cruz campaign pulled a national campaign ad in which she one of the featured players shortly after it was released.

Lindsay, who has 74 acting credits on IMDB as well as a daytime Emmy nomination on her resume, reportedly has a past in softcore porn films, which prompted the Cruz campaign to quickly remove the ad from circulation. As a working actress, Lindsay answered an open casting call for the commercial, and Team Cruz maintained that the production failed to engage in appropriate vetting for those actors who got the gig.

The actress has described herself as fiscally conservative and socially liberal, and despite the controversy over the commercial, she still might vote for Cruz, although Trump is also in the running. Although expressing initial disappointment with the campaign’s decision, she subsequently indicated during a CNN interview that she is not harboring any hard feelings against Cruz in that free speech is a two-way street.

Lindsay appeared in a total of six Cruz political ads, but apparently none of them will see the light of day given her background, especially as Cruz tries to woo evangelicals to his column in today’s South Carolina primary.

As The Inquistir previously explained, the anti-Marco Rubio spot features a group of distraught people sitting in a group therapy circle discussing their disappointment with past voting decisions. The ad is aimed at Florida Senator Rubio, who supported the so-called Gang of 8 comprehensive immigration reform bill, which opponents believe is equivalent to full-on amnesty for illegal aliens. The legislation passed the Senate, but died in the House. With some ambiguity in the explanation, Rubio has since disavowed the bill.

“Maybe you should vote for more than just a pretty face next time,” a woman, portrayed by Lindsay, says at the conclusion of the Cruz ad’s fictional interaction.

The commercial ends with the usual legal reminder from the candidate himself, “I’m Ted Cruz, and I approved this message.”

In an interview with The Daily Caller, Lindsay joked that of all the GOP presidential candidates, Donald Trump might be the best co-star in a completely theoretical adult film.

“It would have to be Donald Trump, come on. You know, he’s one that would be the most fun, would be cool with it, you know, but that’s not going to happen.”

On a more serious note, Amy Lindsay added that she would love a woman to become president, but just not Hillary Clinton.

“Her animosity toward Hillary stems in part from Clinton defense of an accused child rapist in 1975 and her role in destroying the accuser’s reputation. Clinton ‘started calling women liars when she was 27 years old that have been raped,’ Lindsay claimed. ‘All of her stuff that women has been involved in to me is just disgraceful, absolutely disgraceful and you know, in light of all of this, the emails and our national security and all of this other stuff, the fact that she’s running for president blows my mind,’ Lindsay said.”

Nor is Lindsay a fan of the former Secretary of State’s husband, ex-President Bill Clinton.

“‘Bill Clinton had real sex with real people, it destroyed real lives,’ she said, noting that her own sex career only involved simulated acts on-screen.”

In an interview with NewsFix Houston, CW39, Amy Lindsay denied media claims that she is a porn star.

“I’ve never done anything rated X, and the people that have, that’s just fine….I’ve done things that are rated R… there’s a big difference to me about rated X and rated R… if I had someone would have found it by now, there’s clearly nothing out there, except late night steamy as Ted Cruz even called it ‘colorful’ types of movies.”
