Little Mix might get shaded by Rihanna for a second time

Little Mix Has ‘No Dignity,’ Shaded By LGBT Awards, Rihanna

Little Mix is excited about a slew of award shows before they start their Get Weird Tour, but are they sacrificing their dignity? Worse, is their hero, Rihanna, having a meltdown that means Little Mix will miss their chance to talk with her … again?

No matter what, Little Mix may not need Rihanna’s approval because they are up for three different awards — but they may get axed from one awards show because they may not be currently identifying as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender.

In the meantime, Little Mix is preparing for the BRIT Awards and Fuse TV posted a performance poll to garner the excitement of fans. Adding to the sensationalism surrounding the event, Little Mix has released new information about their BRIT Awards production and SugarScape reports that they will be performing “Black Magic.”

Along with the honor of performing at the BRIT Awards and possibly winning a nomination for Best British Single and Best British Video wins on February 24, Little Mix may win the British LGBT Award for Music Artist of the Year, according to the BBC.

Sadly, SugarScape reports that Little Mix is getting some controversy and a #BoycottLGBTAwards hashtag is circulating on Twitter. One of the main beefs that fans have against Little Mix is that no one in the band strongly identifies as LGBT.

Oxygen writes “Many gays are finding themselves objecting to the roundup of celebrated individuals, spawning the hashtag #BoycottLGBTAwards….But why were straight artists included in this category at all?”

Regardless, in November 2015, New Now Next reported that Little Mix gained popularity by “quietly releasing a forbidden love LGBT anthem” with their song “Secret Love Song Part II.”

According to Music News, Little Mix are also up for an award for two categories at the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards on March 12, for U.K. “Favorite Music Act” and U.K. “Favorite Music Video.”

The day after the Nickelodeon awards, Little Mix will begin their months-long Get Weird Tour on March 13. Little Mix is also revving it up by adding internet sensation, Joey Devries, to their Get Weird Tour roster as an opening act for the U.K. leg, as previously reported by The Inquisitr.

Regardless, are Little Mix giving up their dignity on the Get Weird Tour? As it appears, the members of Little Mix feel odd about their costume changes required for their tour.

In an interview with KEY 103, Little Mix stated they despise their frequent costume changes and have up to 10 per show. Because things are happening so quickly, they have to “leave their dignity at the door” while they are dressing and undressing.

Speaking of things that may lack dignity, Rihanna is shading the U.K. for unknown reasons and might leave Little Mix hanging.

The Daily Mail reports that Rihanna was due to perform with Little Mix at the BRIT Awards on February 24, but around the time of the Grammys, she was inconsolable in her dressing room. Following that, Rihanna cancelled two concerts in the U.K.

Unfortunately, this means Rihanna could be absent at the BRIT Awards — and this would leave Little Mix feeling cheated.

Recently, Little Mix was explosive with joy about the idea of meeting, seeing or collaborating with Rihanna, according to TV3. Part of the reason they want to talk to Rihanna so badly is due to the fact that Rihanna banned anyone from talking to her when Little Mix was on X-Factor in 2012.

About her recollections from when Rihanna would not speak to Little Mix, Leigh-Anne Pinnock stated the following.

”Her management wouldn’t let anybody meet her, but she walked past me and said, ‘Your hair is awesome!’ This was when I had my head half-shaved, which I hated, so it cheered me up.”
